My place is 5 minutes by car to Yarmouth and 10 minutes by car from the ferry in a pastoral setting, the village of Arcadia. This is NOT within walking distance of town (7 km). If you would like to walk to downtown perhaps another listing in town would be preferable. My room is a homeshare. I live in the house. Please introduce yourself to me and a few words about your travel to Yarmouth. Thank you and hope to see you soon!
“I've lived in Nova Scotia most of my life and whenever I am away I'm told that we are amongst some of the friendliest people in Canada. If you need a place to stay while visiting Yarmouth please stay with Robyn. She IS Nova Scotia and all the good things you hear. She welcomed me with a smile, her home is beautiful, the conversation was caring and helpful and she made me a wonderful breakfast. I won't hesitate to book there again when I'm in the area.”
Welcome to our quaint Cape Cod style home with spectacular panoramic views of the Chebogue River. This secluded house is conveniently located only 10 minutes away from all the amenities downtown Yarmouth has to offer, including restaurants, shopping, and the ferry terminal.
“Due to Covid 19 restrictions this year, my fiancé and I planned a number of local staycations. We lucked out and were able to book the Riverhouse. It is a stunning spot right on the river, close to the marina. It’s the only place on the road so it is private. They have absolutely everything you could need, from cooking utensils, towels, cloths, the list goes on. The only thing we needed to pick up were a few groceries as they also had a number of condiments, tea, coffee, etc. They have a heat pump for air conditioning and heat. A satellite Smart TV as well. There are welcome materials so you know what to expect and what areas to visit in Yarmouth. There is also wifi. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again. I would also recommend visiting the local area while in town, you could tell Covid has slowed down visitors to the area quite a bit and they’d welcome your business. We also went to the West Pubnico area to see the Village le Historique de Acadien. It was wonderful learning about the families and culture.”
Enjoy the peace and quiet of a country cottage, with a great view over the Chebogue River. Or, use our cottage as an artist retreat. Both hosts are artists. Bird watching and walking opportunities are close by. Bonus: There is always a breeze, so no bugs. We have dark skies, so on a clear night, you will see lots of stars! Car rental and return is available through Enterprise at the ferry terminal. However, we are also able to assist you in getting from and to ferry if needed.
“I've traveled extensively and can say that this is the nicest Airbnb I have stayed in. Communication with Sue and Dan was easy and the check-in was a breeze. The location of this property lends itself to perfect serenity from the beautiful sunrise to the many songbirds flitting about. The cottage is very tastefully decorated with interesting and eclectic art. It is a clean, cozy, relaxing space, and the stocked breakfast items were a delightful bonus. I can't wait to return.”
