Driving a little south of Texarkana (10 miles), brings you to a lovely little lake (Lake Davis), where you will find a quiet, cozy, and peaceful place to lay your head. It's more about a down home feel rather than an upscale, ultra modern place. I welcome travelers from all over the world who bring with them a piece (peace) from their world in which to share. You will feel like you are "coming home" when you stay here!
“Just the relaxing place we needed! Holly’s place was set close to town, yet with the beauty of nature and outdoor surroundings. There is a fabulous lake that you wake up to, and a possible trail that she can take you on. My friend and I really enjoyed learning about the family history, taking a walk with Holly, and staying at her cozy place. Definitely recommend and am grateful to have gotten some Zen while visiting!”

“Nice little 2 bedroom cottage in historic downtown Jefferson. It’s well appointed and comfortable. Even though the plumbing fixtures are dated - everything works well. This private house allows for a fun and very reasonably priced getaway. The host, Ellen, was always easily reached and made sure all was ready for our arrival. I can highly recommend this AirBnB.”

“This is our second time staying at McGarity's Upstairs Inn. Just like last time, going up the stairs to the unit - it feels like walking in to a good friend's home. & Ken's apartment truly feels like a home away from home. There's everything & anything you might think of as fas ar amenities go; the unit is very spacious yet intimate; everything is nice & clean and bathrooms are stocked with the essentials a weary traveler might need before popping downstairs for a bite to eat. Because while my opinion of the unit isn't contingent on downstairs restaurant/saloon, it does give it that extra little something that sets it one level above everyone else. We are a family with a small child and on our first stay we had my senior parents with us (they LOVED it). While the unit is very family friendly with a full kitchen, streaming services on the TV, board games in the book shelves and lots of room to play, it's not exclusively a "family place". I can well imagine coming back with just my husband or with a gang of girlfriends. I honestly can not say enough good things about "the Inn Upstairs" - my only regret in doing so is running the risk of our family's "hideaway" being booked when we want to return for a *third* time. Our four year old is already planning for it.”
