The cabin is located alone on a promontory at the end of the Surnadal fjord. Fra parkeringen er det ca 600 meter å gå, ta på gode sko da stien går gjennom skog og litt myr. På vinteren må en gå på ski eller truger da det ikke er brøytet vei.
