Recently restored, this mid-19th century architectural jewel, accented with original stonework, arches and columns, combines the romantic charm and charisma of it’s history with the comfort, refinement and convenience of the 21st century. With a bold decor, fusing contemporary and classic elements, all spaces, from the penthouse, to the suites, to the interior garden, were designed to guarantee comfort, serenity and delight to its occupants, typically families, who can find here a home far from home. The inner peace of its nooks are just a few steps away from the bustle of the historical city or the contemplation of the sea and of Angra´s bay, given its well appointed location. It's history dates back to the 1400s, the restoration revealed and maintained the original stone work inside and out. You will be welcomed into a lovely reception area and given access to your private suite. On the first floor you will find your private sunrise suite surrounded by terraced gardens. Spacious and modern, this suite features 4 generous bedrooms 3 bathrooms and open concept living with fireplace, dining and kitchen area. Ninho dos Avós is a quiet retreat located in the beautiful rural parish of Santa Bárbara, which belongs to the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo. Here you can enjoy country life and its tranquility. You will have magnificent views of the verdant countryside with the sea in the background, and you can also see the neighboring islands of Pico and São Jorge. Ninho dos Avós, as the name implies, was the house where our grandparents lived, here we have many good memories and where we were happy with them and did not know.

This is the fifth of a set of rustic houses rehabilitated in 2019/20, giving rise to 5 modern apartments, decorated with solid wood and lamps from Bali. The aim was to create an informal, unpretentious environment, but at the same time refined and welcoming. In the central area, there is a porch, a common area, and this apartment has also a private terrace. Santa Bárbara is a peaceful village from where you can see the sea and the mountain with the same name, and an ideal place to rest.
