Situada na Serra da Estrela a poucos Km das Penhas Douradas , numa zona de Castelos e Aldeias Históricas, onde é possível fazer caminhadas por trilhos sinalizados, aventurar-se no Parapente ( na vizinha Aldeia Histórica de Linhares) ou refrescar-se nas praias fluviais do Mondego e do Zêzere. Na região a oferta gastronómica mantém a autenticidade dos velhos tempos, com pratos como cabrito com míscaros, arroz de Carqueja, peixes do rio em escabeche e morcelas com grelos, sem esquecer o pão de centeio, o óptimo azeite e o vinho do Dão.
