There is really no greater heaven on earth than this jewel of a cabin tucked away in the mountains. The rock pools, the endless walking trails and paths that can get you lost for days. What an incredible slice of paradise and worth more than just two days! Could have stayed forever. As a female solo traveler it was so safe and I felt well looked after. Loved it

lovely little cottage that is so beautifully decorated. The outside areas are so beautiful and there is a lovely water feature just outside the door which makes the whole area just feel so soothing and definitely not like in the middle of a big city! I was traveling through Knysna with a vehicle full of things as I am relocating and Lesley even made space in her garage so that I could safely park my car in it as the vehicle couldn't lock. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone! lovely accommodation and a super lovely host!

Amazing stay, loved the nature feeling, room was spectacular, staff and host were extremely helpful and help make my day special for me. Dinky (Host) helped with getting me flowers and speaing to the staff to organize my proposal picnic. Definitely would recommend. beautiful memories were made. #SheSaidYes.

Fantastic location, view, scenery from your beautiful forest cottage!

What a gorgeous place to be! We loved every minute, and being from JBay, it was even better that it was so close. The team are very friendly and made us feel right at home. The grounds are kept in pristine condition. There is so much to do and see, one night feels too short, but also refreshes the soul.

Thank you so much Kobus -- this cottage was the perfect end to our trip. Kobus was accommodating and friendly, allowing us to book on very short notice and check-out later due to my online work commitments. The environment is so peaceful, the space is romantic and has everything you need for a weekend getaway. Will definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again.

This place is a dream! I was sick and stayed cuddled in this place and the fireplace as well as hot blanket kept me cozy in this majestic place whilst looking up the beautiful mycorrhizae on the roof. I got healed here. A 1000/10 if that’s even possible. Thank you so much to Jay who was helpful and responsive!

I had a lovely stay. The cottage is beautiful and Pietro was the best host. The Carpenters Cottage is a gorgeous cosy tiny home with everything you need to be comfortable. It’s also a fascinating piece of history. Pietro gave me great advice about where to go and what to do in Knysna, and even took me to see some of the lovely local beaches with her sweet dog Rupert. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to any of my friends and family who visit Knysna.

Fun place to stay, very family-friendly with lots of communal spaces to enjoy like the hot tub, braai area, gardens, bush walk track. The cabin was nice, we especially enjoyed the private outdoor bathroom.

Absolutely stunning! Second time we stayed here and it was wonderful. You won't be disappointed with the accommodation and surroundings.

The location was exceptional. The views, the river and surroundings are all breathtaking. The cabin is the perfect location for numerous day trips or one can spend the day on the river with the kayak. Altanja was always responsive and helpful amd the cabin was clean and attention to details were appreciated. The only thing to note is the cabin is on solar with a small battery. On cloudy days one can expect to run out of power after a night of charging phones and laptops only. Not a problem when expected but do note this and pack accordingly. Ps. Bed is super comfy!

This was a lovely place to stay. Very convenient location, beautifully designed little cabin for two. Well stocked, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and with lots of warm bedding. The hosts are gracious , warm and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

When you need to push pause on everyday life this is the perfect place to relax and be rejuvenated. The cabin is so well thought out and every detail is just right. Jaco and Dayle are so welcoming and are extremely kind. Dayle has a wellness centre and her massages were so therapeutic. Jaco is a chef and whipped up a feast of a dinner for us, taking note of our personal favourite food choices and then delivered the meal to our cabin. It doesn’t get any better than that! The breakfast basket of goodies was incredible. The best bread I have ever had, delivered warm straight out of the oven. My husband and I went for walks down country lanes and experienced the beauty of hogsback. We will visit again for sure. Thank you Dayle and Jaco.

Nous avons passés un bon séjour dans ce logement perdu au milieu d'un désert de cactus, le cadre était très beau et dépaysant. Attention cependant, la route pour y accéder (R400) est assez difficile d'accès (graviers, trous...), je vous recommande de venir avec une voiture relativement haute, au risque de mettre bien plus de temps que prévu pour accéder au logement

I was on business in Knysna. Convenient location, near a restaurant / pub. It was a comfortable stay with a kitchenette and very affordable . Kristina was a friendly helpful host.

Lovely stay, the accommodation was set in the most beautiful garden that we was able to enjoy. Walked to the village only a few minutes walk for dinner in an evening and for a beer in the village Inn and brewery bar and felt very safe. Lovely walks locally and fabulous for visiting the National Park and all the attractions it offers. Felt very relaxed after our stay here. We would return if ever in the area again. We absolutely loved our stay in the Shepherds hut, so much so that we had to extend our stay! I can't recommend James's spot highly enough if you are looking for a peaceful stay near Plett.

Such a nice stay in an amazing location! Charmaine is so lovely and such a pleasure. She and her son were so accommodating and friendly and helpful! The view is so nice and everything is very comfortable! Will definitely recommend this place.

We loved this hideaway cabin in the forest. It is surrounded by nature and so peaceful. Keegan was a great host - very responsive and proactive in his communication. We would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. Caleb allowed us to check in earlier which was a bonus. The location is perfect and peaceful.

Wir durften 2 Nächte in Knysna im Appartement von Heather geniessen. Es war einfach perfekt. Super Lage direkt an der Warerfront mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften. Die Einrichtung war sehr geschmackvoll und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Heather hat uns im Vorfeld super informiert. Insgesamt der Perfekte Aufenthalt.
