The villa was built in 1911 by the founder company of the world-famous anchor sports weapons. Our holiday home is located in the picturesque beautiful Schmiedefeld on the Rennsteig, in the middle of the Thuringian Forest Biosphere Reserve. After only 1.5 km, you will find yourself directly on the Rennsteig and you can explore the hiking and skiing trails to your heart's content. Time can also be wasted on the ski slope, right next to our apartment.

Our spacious apartment with 2 terraces and garden is located in a prime location in the Bäderviertel Ilmenau. The city center is a 3-minute walk away, while the Festhalle and the city park are less than 5 minutes away on foot. From there, you can take various hikes through the Thuringian Forest (e.g. to the Kickelhahn or to Manebach).
