Holiday rentals with a kayak in Schoharie County

We are a family of four with 5 and 7 yr old kids. Debbie’s home worked great for us. The house is extremely well stocked—more than enough blankets, towels, toiletries, kitchenwares, spices, condiments in the refrigerator—many of which are often missing in Airbnb rentals these days—just makes for an easier time for those who don’t want to have to plan to bring every little thing with you. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to any nature-oriented activity you might be interested in. Also close to groceries/farm markets, restaurants when needed. Thank you Debbie!

Bills place is great. Perfect for a peaceful getaway on the water by yourself or with a small group.

Absolutely loved my stay! The house was clean and comfortable. Great outdoor space for my family and my dog. Perfect place to be to get out of the city. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Marika’s house felt like something out of a dream. Our stay was absolutely magical, from the ethereal artwork to the comforting wood fire stove and coziest couch, we loved every second. The stunning views stole our hearts. We stayed during a winter storm and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else. The vast windows were perfect for watching the snow fall. Marika is the perfect host, she made us feel so welcome and comfortable. You can feel her wonderful energy all through the gorgeous home. Every nook of the home is filled with intention and exquisite attention to detail. We will be coming back as soon as possible, we fell in love it with all. Deepest gratitude to Marika.

A Hidden Gem for the Perfect Long Weekend! This place is absolutely stunning—so peaceful, private, and exactly what we needed for a long weekend getaway. One of my favorite things was how secluded it felt. It truly gave us that “escape from the world” vibe. We had the best time paddle boarding on the pond, soaking up the sun, and even getting in some friendly pickleball matches. The space is beautifully maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing and fun stay. Perfect for families. One tip: don’t forget the bug spray! We didn’t pack any and ended up being a feast for the mosquitos. But honestly, even that couldn’t take away from how magical this spot is. Can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay and would return again. Very comfortable and cozy home and the outdoors was truly what we expected. We liked the projector which didn’t take away from the environment outdoors. The highlight was the sauna which we truly appreciated. Everything was close by especially farmers markets. Any my grandson had games and toys to play with and create memories.

We had a lovely stay in Schoharie in this beautiful home built in 1790. The kitchen was spacious and had everything needed for cooking, including fresh eggs, juice and creamer in frig and a supply of bagels and pancake mix. Jill had baskets in the bathrooms with extras in case you forgot your toothbrush, needed shampoo, etc. And Jill was very quick to respond, very helpful with local recommendations, an all around wonderful host. Thanks so much, Jill!

A little piece of paradise on Earth. Beautiful view and access to the lake. Our group enjoyed the wildlife (aside from the goose poops) and lake activities including excellent success fishing and canoeing. Indoor days were still entertaining and relaxing. Mostly private, but close to a fast moving road. Kitchen had all necessary tools for preparing meals, and many other amenities were also available. Thought was given to the decorative aspects of this home, which was cozy and comfortable, making us feel at home!

This house was so much better than expected. The amenities are above and beyond. You can go fishing, theres boats you can take out into the pond, and there’s a disco ball that has lights shining onto it. It was the best weekend ever and I’m definitely booking the house again. The kitchen is also beautiful and has everything you need. When people say the house is better in person they aren’t lying. I also took my friends to Howe caverns which is only 30 minutes away from the house. Highly recommend the house!!!!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was fantastic, and the instructions and tips provided were incredibly useful. The kindness of the owner truly stood out, making our holiday feel special and memorable. One of the highlights was the cozy evenings we spent playing the board games provided. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics, which made cooking meals together a breeze. We also appreciated the pellets for the stove, which kept the house warm and inviting. We were especially touched to find the table set for dinner when we arrived late. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel immediately welcome and at home. Ivan went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even recommending some great local restaurants and hiking trails. Their thoughtfulness made us feel right at home. We definitely recommend this place and are already planning our next visit. It was the perfect spot for a family getaway, and we can't wait to return!

We loved our short stay at the cabin. It was great having a little piece of the lake all to ourselves, and it was incredibly peaceful. Our family of four fit perfectly, and very much enjoyed our stay. Ben and Claudia did a great job decorating inside and out and were very helpful/responsive with any questions we had. We would highly recommend!
