Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Schroon Lake

This house was a great spot for our family of four (and our dog!) to base out of while skiing Gore and Whiteface and visiting Lake Placid. We enjoyed having lots of space and appreciated the modern bathrooms and kitchen. We also appreciated that the house is walking distance from the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. The grocery store in town is good and we had a fun dinner out at Sticks & Stones. The hosts were very responsive any time we had questions. Thanks for a great stay! We’d love to come back in the summer…seems like a great lake town!

It was a wonderful weekend we loved our stay! It's a beautiful house and there was lots of room for everyone. There was a beautiful view and we loved the beach! We all felt very comfortable, Maureen and Brian were great hosts!

Paul provided clear and detailed instructions, making check-in a breeze. Although the official check-in time was 4 PM, he kindly reached out around noon on the day of our arrival to let us know the house was ready early—a thoughtful and accommodating gesture, even though we arrived after 4. The home is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and the outdoor space is equally impressive—peaceful and well-maintained. It's set back perfectly from the road, offering plenty of privacy while still being conveniently close to local attractions. A great balance of comfort, style, and location!

This place is such a gem! Especially for dog owners. It backs up to a beautiful horse farm. There is a dirt road on the property that we walked our dog on and it was beautiful! Such a peaceful spot and the inside of the house is a great layout.

We had a wonderful stay at Jessica's comfortable home. The location was fantastic, as we were attending our niece's wedding at the Lodge at Schroon Lake. It was so nice to only be a 5 minute drive away and 5 minutes to town. The house was very private and its location was great. We hiked Gull Pond, Mt. Severance, relaxed at Schroon Lake public beach, ate at Stix and Stones, got ice cream at Stewarts (yum!)... It was all great! Jessica was so wonderful to work with. She replied immediately to any questions that we had! Truly a Super host! We really appreciate her sharing her beautiful home with us. It held all 8 of us with ease. Kelly’s place was an absolute dream! The space is fully renovated and even still smells “new.” The views are incredible and the space feels so cozy with lots of privacy. The house has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Kelly was incredibly helpful and responsive to my many questions before check-in. We brought our 20’ boat and there was just enough room to maneuver. We didn’t end up even taking the boat out though because we enjoyed being at the house that much! We had so much fun fishing from shore, the catfish and bullhead kept us very busy, with a few surprise species mixed in as well. We barely heard the trains when they passed by and weren’t bothered by them at all. Mornings out by the water, sipping coffee, reading a book, while my boyfriend caught fish, then enjoying breakfast on the deck— it can’t be beat! This was a perfect little getaway to unplug from the rest of the world and to recharge with some peace and quiet accompanied by beautiful views! Can’t wait to return!

The house was very charming and had a stunning view of the lake from most rooms of the house. Spacious bedrooms too with nice big basement and sunroom. Loved the lake environment. Great spot for fishing and water activities. The family had great time with the kayaks and pedal boat. Great spot for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

Evan was more than accommodating; He responds immediately and takes great care of the property overall. I have just recently been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and it has been hard finding a place that met all of my accessibility needs. While I'm not yet wheel chair bond, I can't do stairs. Having a stair free entrance and walk in shower made everything much more convenient. The pool is bigger than I thought it would be as well! 10/10 all the way around!

What a spectacular property! If you love nature, this is the place for you. Surrounded by tall trees and a beautiful pristine lake. We went to Saratoga to see the Belmont and felt we did not want to stay in the middle of a hustle and bustle, and so glad we found this little gem. The local restaurants left a little bit to be desired, but Rocco’s pizza was great. I would stay here again and looking forward to hopefully doing so soon.

We visited Lake George for my wife’s birthday, a very special occasion. Barbara and Gregory’s place was perfect! It was very thoughtfully decorated and furnished. They spoke to us every time we saw them to ask if we needed anything. It is clear that they work very hard to make their place special for guests. We had a wonderful time and will tell our friends!

Todd was an excellent host. He was clear and informative about check in/out and the cabin amenities. We had a great time staying at Todd’s place. It was very cute and quite comfortable. The area was close to the main area in Lake George and also peaceful and pretty. I would be happy to stay here again. Thanks, Todd! :)

We had a fantastic stay at this home in Johnsburg! The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The fully equipped kitchen made meal prep easy, and we really appreciated how dog-friendly the space was—our two pups felt right at home. The hot tub and pool were a huge bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the Adirondacks. Our child loved the fun game room stocked with toys, and the pool table provided entertainment for the adults, too. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for comfort and fun in a beautiful setting!

A perfect place for a weekend getaway for two. It is a really comfortable cabin in a quiet and convenient location between Bolton Landing and the village of Lake George. The gas fireplace and bedroom heater were perfect for the colder weather. We would definitely stay again!

My wife, our dog, and I had a wonderful stay at Shyra's place. The home was clean, warm, and welcoming—our dog felt right at home. Waking up to stunning views of the high peaks from the backyard was truly unforgettable. Short drives to Schroon Lake and Ticonderoga. A great home base of you're looking to hike any of the Adirondack high peaks. Shyra was communicative and very responsive throughout our stay. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! My friends and I LOVED staying here. It was a little tricky to find, as there were no instructions regarding the suspension bridge you need to cross to find the house. The water from the tap definitely smelled a little funny which wasn't that big of an issue and we decided to get more water from the store for washing hands and such. Other than that we had a great time. There were so many sleeping options, so everybody got their own bed. Also the huge CD selection was a giant win for the weekend. The overall vibe was incredible. We loved the decor. We would book again!!!

Barbie's cabin was the perfect mix of comfort and isolation. Everyone in my group was able to relax and unplug, and the little river behind the cabin was a nice surprise! We had no problem with the hot water or the gas furnace, and the cabin was nice and warm our entire stay. Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking to unplug up in the mountains!

Heathers Cottage was just we were looking for. The dock and waterside camp chairs were a great way to enjoy the peaceful Loon Lake. We did have rain during our stay and found ourself stuck indoors but this was no obstacle at all. The cottage had a book for everyone’s liking, many different board games and a TV as well, the time flew by! Can’t wait to return back to enjoy the get-a-way from city life!

We had a great stay at Sherry’s place! The barn is exactly as described. Very comfortable and clean, and had the lake house vibes we were looking for. We got a chance to use the kayaks and take some time on Loon Lake which was lovely. Sherry was super responsive, helpful and easy to work with. The kitchen had what we needed to make dinner one night and our dog loved the fenced in back yard! We would definitely stay here again.

This is our second time staying and being in Cabin 2 and having more space was a plus. Everything was clean and comfortable. Thank you again! See you again another time!

This is aptly named - we saw fireflies and deer in the meadow at night and butterflies and birds all day long. The breeezes and rain were lovely, but we were there during some unusual early summer heat which really affected the loft sleeping situation. Thankfully we were a small enough group to all move downstairs. Highlights/memories were the porch swing, watching the kids haul buckets of water from the pond, reading in the lovely sitting areas, swimming in Lake George and seeing historical sites. Solar power worked great.

This place is such a hidden gem! Amazing fireplace/patio area, homey wooden cabin feeling, great food areas around and super private/quiet! We felt right at home!

Wonderful visit. Space was very clean and very cozy and Leah was incredibly responsive which made our stay even better. Would definitely recommend!
