I recently had the pleasure of joining Milah's photography experience with my husband, and we couldn't have asked for a better time! From the moment we met her, Milah's warm and friendly personality put us at ease. She has a fantastic eye for detail and a talent for capturing natural, candid moments that truly reflect our personalities. As people with little experience in front of a professional camera, we were initially a bit nervous, but Milah’s clear and encouraging direction made everything easy and enjoyable. She has an amazing way of guiding you without making you feel posed or stiff. Every shot turned out beautifully, and the entire experience felt effortless and fun. Jamila was amazing! We were running a little late and she was very understanding and cared about our safety. We started out at Belle Isle and we got amazing photos there since it was a beautiful day! This photo shoot was for my mother’s birthday. She was very knowledgeable about where the best sites were to get photos in Belle Isle. She also played the music of our choice on her portable speaker while we took photos. Jamilah was very sweet, complimentary of us, conversational, and responsive. We went to her studio after Belle Isle and took amazing photos there as well with two different colored backdrops. She even took photos of my and my mother separately. Please note if you take photos at her photo studio, you have to be able to walk up and down the stairs because there is no elevator. Her studio is located in a warehouse type setting with many different businesses and is definitely tucked away. We bonded talking about family, life, and Detroit! She’s a very beautiful soul inside and out. After we were done with the photo shoot, we were finally able to get my mother’s convertible top down and I told Jamilah after she already left her studio area. She proceeded to return and take more photos of us with the convertible top down! We were supposed to take these photos at Belle Isle, but couldn’t get the convertible top down. She went above and beyond for us and made my mother’s birthday photo shoot so memorable! We were able to use balloons as props during our photo shoot. I would highly recommend Jamilah since she is a beautiful black woman and she does amazing photography work! She was very prompt with response time and she got the photos back to us via email within a few days! I informed Jamilah during the spring/summer when I return to Detroit we would love to use her again and we will!

Definitely worth booking for amazing photos and fun experience! Jamilah was very fun, relaxed and really made the entire experience really fun. She really made us feel comfortable quickly and is very friendly. Location was easy to find and lots of parking. We are definitely booking with her again, and so should you if you want great photos with a fun experience!
