While we appreciated his energy, we felt that the meal came in prepared in advance, and the overall meal variety wasn’t what we had hoped. We also were surprised we weren’t served a dessert. He was very talkative, but we didn’t expect him to be accompanied by another cook. We were having a birthday celebration and his attention to that party was appreciated and overall fun, but most of us felt underwhelmed by the meal.

Chef absolutely nailed it! He came to our villa in Tulum and cooked an incredible dinner for me and my two friends using fresh local ingredients. Everything was flavorful, beautifully presented, and perfectly seasoned. The margaritas were hands-down the best we’ve had in Mexico; strong, refreshing, and dangerously good. Pepe is wow! Every dish is amazing! His explanation of each ingredient was fun, and as detailed as you could want; I am in the food industry - I really mean detailed! They make enough for leftovers for the next day which is great for traveling. Even when the Air BnB app was giving us trouble, Pepe made sure to respond quickly and make things work. I won't make this a book, I have never been treated better. I truly hope he gets all of the recognition & business he can get.
