Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Shanty Town

Staying at Karibu Cottage and Safaris was such a peaceful and memorable experience—and John made it even better! He was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful from the moment I booked until check-out. The property is exactly as described (even better in person!), and the airport pick-up was such a thoughtful touch. I also loved spending time in the garden with the friendly rabbit and tortoise—such a unique addition! John organized a tour to Lake Chala where I was able to have the true Moshi experience by reconnecting with nature. John truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend this stay to anyone visiting Moshi.

D'abord Merci à Christina pour ton aide et assistance pour rapport aux endroits à visiter. J'ai passé un très bon séjour dans le logement de Christina, Christinaa été très réactive et surtout flexible par rapport à mon arrivée. Un logement très reposé, malgré les nombreuses activités, j'ai pu me reposer les nuits grâce à la tranquillité des lieux. Un restaurant est à 3 minutes à pieds où on peut profiter des plats locaux et occidentaux. Le voisinage est très gentil. Le truc en plus que j'ai le plus apprécié est le fait que le logement est un peu en retrait de la ville, ainsi zéro pollution sonore. Je recommande fortement le logement de Christina.

Jackson war ein sehr freundlicher und super netter Kontakt. Er spricht perfekt Englisch, war immer sofort erreichbar und gab zu jeder Zeit super Infos zur Umgebung, Restaurants und weiss einfach wies läuft in Moshi. Vom Materuni Waterfall, Kilimandscharo Trekking und Lake Chala. Die Unterkunft ist etwas abseits. Wir waren mit dem Auto Unterwegs und haben die Ruhe und die abgeschiedenheit genossen. Der ungehinderte Blick auf den Kilimandscharo und dem Sonnenuntergang hätte nicht besser sein können. Es gibt gleich um die Ecke einen Local Shop bei dem man das nötigste bekommt und das zu einem Local preis. Von Bier über Nudeln, Wasser usw. Die Locals sind alle super freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen, und wir fühlten uns hier einfach sicher und gut aufgehoben. Die Unterkunft ist supersauber mit toller moderner Küche und einer Riesen Chill Couch. Auch ohne Klimaanlage ist die Wohnung superdurchlüftet und nachts ist es mit 20 Grad eh nicht zu heiss. I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Moshi! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They were incredibly friendly, always ready to help with a smile, and made our stay even more enjoyable. The home itself was clean, cozy and well-maintained, with all the essentials provided. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Moshi— I will definitely be back!

Emmanuel was a great host. His house was perfect for the four of us: everyone had their own room and private bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Breakfast was simple, just coffee and crepes, but ample. It’s a short walk to the center of Moshi, though on a busy road. Emmanuel arranged a great guide for a waterfall tour. All in all, a great value for our pre-trek days.

I stayed with Petet for a while, he was a friendly and active host ready to organize safaris and outings at any time. The place was characterful and comfortable.

The photo shows the covered area where there is a couch and electrical for charging, when the power is on. It is fairly nice but sometimes noisy traffic on the road next to the wall.

Serene, unique, private and beatiful villas (five within the property) about the national park/mount Meru, with a pool, jacuzzi/bathtub, rental quad bikes. Good on experience, ambience, matched value. There's a bit of a rough drive from the main road (about 5km) but it's doable in a regular car or bike. The gardens are beautiful. The food is tasty. The service is good. Cleanliness and maintenance is equally good. Ideal as a vacation getaway or as an abode to the different attractions around including Arusha national park, Mount Meru, Cultural Heritage Centre & Art Gallery, Raha (Aya Sophia) Wildlife Resort, Lake Duluti, Ngare Sero Lodge... They have villa options for solos, couples and bigger groups. It was a worthwhile experience. Thanks to Neema and the team for hosting us.
