Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains, and located close to the World Heritage of "Kumano Kodo" You'll enjoy real Japan such as rural life experience, quiet time and beautiful nature. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We have no meal service since corona pandemic 2020. We only take one reservation everyday so house is yours to use privately.

Our house is called Kamikura-Hideaway. It is a small 50-year-old house located at the foot of Kamikura Shrine. Contemporary artist Fulbrn revived it as the art piece "Narrative Space." Since this house once served as a geologist's hideaway, bits of history are scattered throughout the building. Our uniqueness has even been featured in the travel media AFAR, reflecting our commitment to a memorable guest experience. We hope you will enjoy touching someone's story "floating" around the room.

私達の庭にある、日本の伝統的建築物の蔵（家財・商品などを安全に保管するための建物。倉庫。）を住居として改装しました。 今は建築する人も非常に少ない建物です。 食事はつきません｡調理は出来ません｡ 流し台､電子レンジ､トースター、電気ケトル､冷蔵庫はございます｡ 洗濯機あり（無料）（乾燥機は無し) お風呂はシャワールームとなっております(バスタブは無し) 一日一組の貸切です｡ 私達の家とは完全に分離しています。プライベートは確保されています。 シャワー、トイレなど他のゲストとの共有物はありません。 JR新宮駅から徒歩９分ほど。 FamilyMartまで徒歩１分（２４時間営業ストア) 徒歩圏内に新鮮なお刺身､お寿司､新宮名物めはり寿司など食べられる居酒屋もありますので､食事には困りません｡(お店が終わる時間は都会に比べると早いです) 貸自転車6台あります｡(無料)　 駐車場は門の前（敷地内　無料）に2台停められます。 新宮市は熊野市、那智勝浦町、本宮、どこへ行くにも中間の位置になりますので、こちらを拠点として世界遺産巡りが出来ます。

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)
