Less than a 10-minute drive from the center of Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture, a 128-year-old Japanese house has been renovated as an inn in Arakawa, a lush green area, with the concept of "a space that is both ordinary and extraordinary". It retains the charm of a traditional farmhouse while adding modern comforts. We provide a space where visitors can forget about time and relax from the heart. If you walk a little up from the inn, you can see the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Nakamura Line and the Sukumo Line from the bridge. Self-service, but we also offer 5L of Shin-Takumi Draught Beer, all-you-can-drink! The design of the space is designed by Muji Ryojin, Inc., and stores Muji products such as furniture, appliances, interior, and amenities. In the spring, you can feel the sound of birds visiting in the spring, and in the summer, you can sleep in the pleasant river breeze.In autumn, take a walk by the river while watching the autumn foliage, and in winter, it's a memorable story around the fireplace. Enjoy an extraordinary space that you can't taste in the city, such as the rivers and nature of the four seasons. This inn is packed with a veranda on the second floor with a view of cypress baths, tree houses, sunken bridges, outdoor dining spaces with roofs, sup, sea kayak rentals, and art work surfaces. We recommend 6 guests for a relaxing stay.(Futons for up to 10 people will be provided, but it will be narrow) We have a water server as tap water is not drinkable in the landscape water. A natural house close to Shimojana Station and the sea

20 mins walk from Shimonada Station.3 minutes by car. We will provide free pick-up and drop-off by car. It is a 13-minute walk from Kushigahara Station. It is a house with the sea in front of it, behind the Shiojiro restaurant, and a convenience store is 30 seconds away on foot. Of course, the whole house is rented.It can accommodate up to 6 people. The sea is beautiful, and the mountains are also beautiful in Shimonada. There is a small private beach in front of the house.I think those who love nature will enjoy it. It is also easy to access the famous Aoshima on Nekojima.　 Anyone can enjoy it, whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, or as a family.

There is a small river and a nice old house of Japanese style next to the house .The tool of the barbecue is prepared. （Please bring an ignition agent and charcoal） it's comfortable in summer as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

Ricefields, Rivers and Mountains

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also a unique cultural experience. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with a large tatami sleeping room. This room can be divided into two though in summer it’s not advised due needing the A/C. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can shop for local foods and prepare it all in your own equipped kitchen.

Due to the recent rise in prices , we will unavoidably raise the price from 2023. For pilgrims and long-term stays, we plan to start another one, if you need more cheaper price, please contact me. House is just a short walk to the regular ferry terminal to Okinoshima, and15-minute drive to Enkoji,NO39 Shikoku88. This house is old but nice spacious two-story . you can use whole facility for private . The ceiling of first floor is a bit low and the bath is small. but has a good ocean view.
