I created this accommodation because I wish there was a place like this. ☆This is not a hotel. We want you to think about how you want to spend your time. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.

A private rental inn "gu" within walking distance of the Shimanto River

"gu" is a whole building for rent located across the Shimanto River Bridge. There are no private houses near the property, so it is very private. Perfect for families and groups, where you can spend time without worrying about the time, such as night fireworks and BBQ. ▪ ️ BBQ set (separate + 4000 yen) rental Charcoal, tongs, etc. are also included. You can enjoy a BBQ if you bring your own ingredients. If you would like it, please let us know by the day before your stay. ▪ ️ Dining at the accommodation The supermarket is about 15 minutes away by car. Basic furniture, appliances, cookware, dishes, etc. are provided. We renovated an old private house on the banks of the Shimanto River in Shimanto-cho, Kochi Prefecture, so that you can stay there. ✨ We used cypress wood from Shimanto-cho for the flooring, and I think you can enjoy the scent of cypress. The space was designed by Muji Planning Co., Ltd., and we have a full range of Muji products such as furniture, appliances, interior design, and amenities. Couples, couples, girls' trips, families with children, etc. can stay slowly regardless of age, and you can see the starry sky at night. Please enjoy the unbranded space. There is a small river and a nice old house of Japanese style next to the house .The tool of the barbecue is prepared. （Please bring an ignition agent and charcoal） it's comfortable in summer as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also authentically Japanese. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with a large tatami sleeping room that can become two. The A/C is only in one room if the doors are closed. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can prepare local foods in your own equipped kitchen. It’s designed for long and short stays.
