The home was absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful area. Very cozy and the kitchen was awesome to cook in.

Had a really nice stay here on our last night in Iceland. I was very glad to find this place that would accommodate my family of 8 in this rural setting. Wanted to stay close to the national park, and there were not many options other than this. The place was better than I was expecting/pics led on. I was worried we would be cramped, but that was not the case. Other than one of the bedrooms, plenty of space. On that bedroom, I knew going in it would be tight based on pics. In spite of being a bit cramped, not a big deal. Slept fine in that room, and everyone in general slept fine. Main floor was roomier than i thought. Plenty of room in kitchen and other rooms for all. Kids loved the place. Not too far from murals and ocean. Only issue i had was no shampoo in the place. No idea if I knew that before and forgot or should have known it, but it surprised me. Not a big deal. I did not inquire about it either as I was in a hurry. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Glasshouse was sandwiched between “Snuffies” and the ocean. Hard to choose which view to take in when relaxing in the living room. I found my head bobbing back and forth like I was watching a tennis match. The walking path to Hellnar we took multiple times to see all the nesting birds and the fantastic views. Many great day trip areas to explore, as well. Many good memories.

Just a fantastic place! Quiet, clean and very cozy. Walking distance to anything you need in town as well as the restaurants. Wonderful views as well.

This place is a wonderful, peaceful escape! It is a bit removed from things, but it was exactly what we were looking for. We saw the northern lights multiple times. Absolutely perfect!!

If you want pictures of Kirkufell this place truly can't be beat. We were blessed with a beautiful Aurora the first night. The rest of the peninsula had so many beautiful sites and places to explore. It felt remote yet was close to a quaint town with a great cafe and coffee shop that were actually open this time of year!

Ursula is a friendly and accommodating host. Her place was spacious, comfortable and clean. The small welcoming treat she provided is a nice expression of her appreciation for her guests. I highly recommend this place and would stay again.

Nice place with all you need. Good location and easy to find, right on the main road with an amazing view.

Olafsvik is very cute! The airbnb is great and the kitchen has everything youd need for breakfast or a quick dinner. Its so conveniently located right on the main street which makes it easy to go for an evening walk around the town. We got so lucky with good weather in June which meant it was sunny all day—since the sun never set it was also light out at “night”. If there was one thing we missed it was blackout curtains—but honestly we were having such a great time during the day hiking and sightseeing we were able to sleep okay. Great stay!! So happy we stayed here for our trip to the Snaefellsnes peninsula.

We had a lovely stay at Inga's place. The apartment is in a great location with fantastic views of the ocean. Host showed us the apartment and personally checked us in. Host has a lovely personality. We felt totally at home and had a nice relaxing sleep. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and rooms were clean. We would totally recommend this location as well as would love to stay here again!

This place is ideal for those who value a practical and convenient stay. Clean and to the point. Check in was easy. Grundarfjörður was a great location to explore snaefellsnes from. Such a lovely quaint village near some beautiful sights! Breakfast at the local Harbour café was always a lovely opportunity to chat to others visiting, great atmosphere.

Is the 2nd time I stay in this place, and it is simply awesome! The views are one of the best in iceland, you are close to the beach, and it is a place where you can see wales, foxes, seals, etc. we were able to film some orcas and seals in the beach, so what can I say 🥲 the apartment itself was really nice, with a bbq and the sunset 🥹 thank you guys 🙏

The Writer's Nest was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The host was responsive to our questions. The only thing we had trouble with was finding the door to the apartment (there were a few arrows on the signs that led us around the back of the building). But we figured it out after a few minutes. Grundarfjörður is a beautiful town tucked in the mountains with lovely views of the fjord. I would highly recommend the Writer's Nest for someone looking for a quiet place to experience Iceland.
