Lake house holiday rentals in South Holston Lake

Such a beautiful home and a wonderful place for a family weekend retreat to Lake Jackson State Park and participate in the Fonta Flora 50K. The home is so cozy, and enjoyable. Space to gather together and also retreat away to relax and read a book or nap. The deck and dock space are amazing!!! Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We are already planning our next visit to their home.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! If you need rest and relaxation this is where you need to be. It is extremely peaceful. You will not be disappointed.

Peace on the French Broad ! My first river vacation and this was the right spot. You have to be aware it is in the path of the flood, however the owners have this place looking like it didn’t happen . The interior looks brand new , yard and landscape was awesome, kitchen was fantastic, couch comfy ( I slept my first night there with the windows open) , talk about perfection. You saw the neighbors still dealing with rebuilding , you knew the heartbreak felt by the Community . Visited Marshall to Shop for at the Co-Op, leaving our hearts full of snacks, vitamins and bedding plants. The bench by the riverbank was the best seat in the house. I honestly didn’t eat a single meal inside, the porch was the dining room, great for moon watching . The kid in me watched the train go by- who doesn’t love trains. I would definitely book with Billy again! Thanks again for sharing such a wonderful house!

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable home in Marion, VA! From the moment we arrived—greeted by deer in the yard—we knew it was going to be a special place. The house was absolutely perfect: cozy, comfortable, and spotless. The home was thoughtfully stocked, and having familiar touches like Dawn dish soap, Bounty paper towels, and B&BW hand soaps made us feel right at home. One of the highlights for our kids was having their cousins over to enjoy s’mores by the firepit—such a great outdoor space for making memories. The location couldn’t have been better either—close to the lake and near the rest of our family who were staying in cabin rentals at the park. After seeing our place, they might just opt for this one next time! Let them try it! This is our place now! While this trip was bittersweet, as we were here for my father-in-law’s burial in Saltville, having this warm, welcoming home to gather with family made all the difference. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Such a great house! We loved it. The place was extremely clean upon arrival. It was well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend and not at all cluttered. Great location. We hiked Grandfather mountain, Shortoff mountain, and Hawksbill. All great hikes and easy to get to. We also spent an afternoon kayaking on Lake James. It was very peaceful with large, calm coves. Great place to stay and I hope to be back.

Steve and Karyn were great hosts! The cabin was spacious, clean, and beds were comfortable. The area is beautiful with plenty to do around town. We really enjoyed our time!

All around an amazing place, great to unwind and just relax near the water, but not too far from town to go do something with the family. Hands down one of the best places I’ve been and will definitely be returning! Btw check out Appalachian Caverns, really an amazing place.

We loved everything about our stay! The house was so cute, clean and exactly as described. Thoughtful and fun decor and toys for kids was a big plus. Tonyia was quick to respond and very helpful. There was a book of instructions/info in the house that was also useful. Overall this house was a perfect place to stay and we will absolutely stay again!

Sarah's place is lovely and quiet, overlooking the golf course and a view of the mountains. The neighbors were delightful, which added to the charm of our stay. The place was comfortable and spacious. Great to have the extra room and bath on the lower level, which makes it even more private. If you're looking for a place in the mountains near a lake, would recommend.

Perfect stay for our family! Incredibly clean, beautiful decor. The hosts have paid close attention to detail and this house had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed the fenced in yard and fire pit. The sound machines in each bedroom were a great touch, and all the beds slept great! This is truly one of the nicest airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The hosts are so friendly and respond quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be back!

We were looking for a place to accommodate our family/dog and this was perfect. It was about 1/2 hour from things to do but peaceful and quiet. Finding it was a bit of a challenge due to 321 still being closed but the directions given to us by James for that reason were helpful. I would suggest downloading offline maps to help navigate the area as once out of wifi range, service is spotty in the area and normal gps did not show which roads were closed. The house was large enough for us with room to spare and quite comfortable. If ever in the area again, we would choose this place again.

The home was beautiful and well appointed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Many amenities were provided like coffee, sweetener, teas, variety of soaps. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dinnerware, cooking supplies, coffee pot and silverware. The 120 acre grounds were magical, paddle boat on lake, playground, fire pit, and hiking trails were enjoyed by all. We saw deer, groundhogs and plenty of fireflies. We will definitely return.

We had a great stay here for the week, if back in the area we would definitely stay again!

Five Stars! The home is lovely and very well appointed. The back yard has an amazing view of the mountains and is nicely private. The host is very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Blowing Rock.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was peaceful & quiet. The house was comfortable & clean with beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of fridge space. Leslie was a responsive host.

The SOHO Bungalow was perfect!! So nice and clean! Much nicer than a hotel. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. We were in town for the NHRA races and we will be coming back-we hope to be able to stay here every time!!

If you're looking to unplug and get away from it all, this mountain cabin is exactly what you need. Tucked far off the beaten path, it's surrounded by stunning scenery and just a short walk from the lake. The cabin itself is cozy yet spacious, with one bedroom but plenty of sleeping space for a group (we had 8 adults and were very comfortable). It’s stocked with all the essentials for a relaxing stay, no need to go anywhere unless you really want to. Would recommend taking extra toilet paper and paper towels. If you're someone who likes to dine out, be prepared to drive. Restaurants and stores are quite a distance away, so plan ahead and bring what you need. But honestly, that's part of the charm, it's a place meant for staying in, slowing down, and enjoying the quiet. The deck deserves a special mention, it’s hands-down the most relaxing part of the property. Whether you're sipping a drink, reading a book, or just soaking in the view, it's the perfect place to unwind.

Fishing paradise! Bring a kayak or paddleboard and enjoy easy access from the beach or boat ramp to one of the most productive fishing areas on Lake Watauga. The location and the property are great, the hospitality from Tawnya and Tony was even better! They made me and my pup feel right at home. Their genuine care for my experience was the sort of service you get from a concierge at a 5 star hotel. After learning about the sub par supply of hot pockets and frozen lasagna I brought for myself, they surprised me with a delicious home cooked meal! Forever grateful for that and already planning my next getaway to this perfect lakeside cabin!

We love staying at Seven Devils every time we visit Boone and this Cabin was great made us feel right at home. A minute away from a cute little pond to fish and the grill was also a fave. All beds were comfy&couches as soon as you sit you’re just ready to nap. Would definitely recommend staying here !

Loved Papa's Place and you will too. It was exactly as described and beautifully furnished. Having cocktails on the deck overlooking the 1st green of the golf course was a plus. Sarah was always responsive and easy to communicate with and when we had a special situation concerning our arrival was accommodating and understanding. I would highly recommend staying here if you are considering something in Linville Land Harbor. You will not be disappointed! We hope to return in the future.
