Chalet holiday rentals in South India

Stayed here for 3 days and The stay was amazing, can't praise the beautiful riverview enough. It was exactly as shown in the photographs. The host was super helpful, had helped us coordinate with our swiggy/zomato orders even at 12am and helped us with everything we needed. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and we had a great experience staying there. Ammachi's breakfast (Idly, Dosa and Puttu-Kadala curry) was the cherry on top of the cake! Really looking forward to be back there.

An incredibly nice environment, surrounded by nature. Not unimportant; our host and hostess were very welcoming, helpful & sweet. We had a delicious dinner and also relaxed there. You will enjoy beautiful views, nature sounds and the tranquility. It is conveniently located to Sigiriya (Lions rock) and national park. We highly recommend this property!!

It was awesome place to stay, we got the jungle vibe in Ella, and from the balcony we got the Ella Rock view, it was tremendous scene to look at.

Pugmarks Forrest Resort had been the highlight of our backpacking adventure in India. The resort is stunning with treehouse chalets that are comfortable and ecologically sound. Great Indian food is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Elephants, Deer, bison, monkeys, rabbits, squirrels, various birds and lizards can all be seen. Our host Gopa was just the best. Cheerful, amiable and supper helpful. The photos do not do this place justice! it's better than we could have possible hoped for. We will be very sad to leave.

We stayed at Casinha Ribandar during first week of May. We were a family group of 13 people including my parents and we had an amazing stay at Capt Leo's property located in very peaceful surroundings. It was exactly matching with the photos and description given, very spacious with a nice living and dining area for a family gathering. The wooden flooring added to the ambience. The place was very clean with enough extra mattress, towels and linen provided. The place was cleaned daily by house keeping. We also took the service from Babiene for our food and she catered well to our vegetarian needs. The only drawback is you would not find shops or restaurants very close by. But swiggy and zomato is easily available. In about 1 KM distance, there are small tea shop places from where we even got our breakfast delivery arranged. Also, there is space to park only one car. Overall a great stay enjoyed by our full group. I would highly recommend this place for group travels

It is beautifully situated in the jungle with natural pool, very quiet and so beautiful green everything. The rooms are very large and great - with sofa, large mirror - furnished. You can book breakfast and dinner. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, it's a great pleasure to be with them.

We had a most amazing stay at Atwood chalet! Yudhister and his lovely family were super welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. We were a large family group of 14 with different requirements from age 75 to 7!! We had lovely breakfasts every morning as per our requests and had a lovely bonfire evening as well. The staff also were very courteous and helpful! Yudhister was always available with top local recommendations and tips. The place is in the middle of Coonoor yet isolated enough to be away from the noise and the traffic! A rejuvenating stay for the entire family and of course made new friends for life!! Will stay there again and would strongly recommend guests to choose Atwood, endearing, quaint, cosy and warm! Thanks.

The place is very peaceful and beautiful, it was a good stay for me. Krishna and Darren were very helpful. There are 2 great restaurants right next to the stay. Morjim beach is just 10 mins walk from the stay. I loved that the place is pet friendly, got to meet the kittens and super friendly doggo Max.

Dilshan is a very caring host. He can satisfy almost all reasonable request. The location is fantastic. The rooms and dining area were very cozy. Everything is new inside the house. Highly recommended A+++ host!

Beautiful property opening up to a private beach with great staff

This is a place not just for your mind and body but also the soul. The chalet has excellent ventilation and the view is to die for. The design and the setting blends minimalist philosophy with comfort so that you have everything you need in a manner sustainable to the environment. The food that this establishment serves is as good as Italian cuisine gets. I haven’t tasted such good pasta since my time in Italy. I would certainly consider their spaghetti as the best I have had in india. The culture of the establishment has struck a perfect balance between respecting the privacy of the guests while also ensuring that the stay is comfortable. The pool is especially the highlight of this place besides the beach access. Over all- the vacation and the stay here was perfect.

The photos do not express how much this place is amazing! We've really enjoyed our time here. The bungalows and the rooms are new, furnished with taste, full of light and very clean. The common space makes you feel at home; you have breakfast here, you can order some snack said/lunch/dinner or enjoy a papaya juice in the upper level waiting for the sunset. The food is always fresh (bought every morning on request) and extremely well cooked. The beach is really the best of the eastern coast, few tourists, amazing sand and waves of the right size to enjoy them swimming. If you get bored, the staff is always there for you, ready to organize boat trip, to do snorkeling, dolphin-whale watching or to go fishing with the locals. Sam is a great host, and her staff is amazing. Highly recommended, we'll be back for sure. We left our heart here! This is what serendipity is about :) Thank you, once again!

The chalet is lovely, and despite not having a/c we slept comfortably with two fans in the rooms. As in most of the country, I'd recommend bringing bug repellent bc the rooms are not air-tight and you sleep under a mosquito net that can still have some mosquitos slip through. The grounds of the facility are carefully manicured and beautiful. The pool is nice to have for the hot afternoons. The staff is attentive and catered to our preferences for meals, which were amazing, delicious and fresh, top quality cuisine. Payment for meals needs to be paid in cash to the facility and not via Airbnb. This chalet is in a small resort with only seven rooms/four villas, so it is good for social distancing. The location is a bit removed from the busier kite-surfing area but the neighboring resort has teachers who take you by boat to the beach where you can learn. There are Kayaks for rent at Luna Laguna if you don't want to kite surf. The lagoon is serene and it was a restful weekend.
