Cabin holiday rentals in South Karelia

Everything went as expected, a beautiful and clean place where it was nice to relax. Of course, we expected to have been able to do outdoor activities, but the beautiful outdoor terrain worked just as well!

If you're out for modern pampering, this is not for you.But if you want ti be alone by the lake, without a shower and regular toilet, but wit a row boat, wood fired sauna and hot tub, compost toilets (but also electricity, full kitchen, cellular coverage and tv) and most if all the amazing beauty around (incl. mosquitoes) memorable, then definitely go fir it. we had a wonderful time.

The house is in a lovely location, close to several lakes and surrounded by peaceful nature. Great spot if you're looking to relax or go for walks. The house itself was clean and had the basics we needed. Communication with the host was helpful when needed. Check-in was smooth, and instructions were clear. Good if you're looking for a quiet place close to nature.

It was a lovely place to relax. The Host are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is nearby, so you can rest your mind very well. But this also mean, that the nearest store is 30 minutes away with car. But wen you are organized, this is a great place to stay. My friends and I love it and hope, that we can stay the next time a little bit longer.

Place was excatly as listed, clear instructions, middle of nowhere, peace, nature, good for large groups.

It is beautiful and restful place near lake. The house had everything you need for relaxing by the lake (boat, sauna, grill), it is well-equipped house. I totally recommend it.

We loved our Easter Getaway at Pistohiekka Resort. Incredible views, felt right at home and knew whenever we had a question someone was there to help or support over message. The restaurant offers a small but tasty menu, stunning view of lake Saimaa and nice atmosphere. We hope to return again during summer.

My family had an amazing weekend getaway at Elena's cottage by the lake. The house is beautiful and had all the amentities we needed and more. The natural surrounding are beautiful and the atmosphere was very peaceful. We would definately stay here again!

We were extremely happy with everything this remote cabin could afford us! Arja is the most friendly and responsive host you can imagine — she was flexible with our delayed arrival, she provided us a fishing rod by our request and even gave us freshly baked bread just from the kindness of her heart! If you're looking to unplug and enjoy true peace and quiet, this remote cabin is the perfect escape. It's simple, clean, and has just what you need—nothing more, nothing less. The setting is beautiful and secluded, which made it easy to relax and disconnect. Great spot for anyone wanting to slow down and enjoy nature without distractions. It’s a true Finnish mökki: no fuzz, just the perfect getaway from city noise and to reconnect with nature.

A little slice of heaven this one! Just THE perfect place to relax. The cabin has everything you need (and more!) and is presented beautifully. Sadly, we were only staying for one night but managed to pack in rowing the boat, a sauna & a sunset swim in the beautiful lake. Veera was a great host, responsive and friendly. Would recommend very highly!

We liked the accommodation very much and everything was as you would like: The handover was flexible, friendly and uncomplicated, the house was clean and equipped with everything you need. Jari was always friendly and very helpful. You can do a lot: The sauna has a fantastic location and a great view from a large window, you can swim very well and there is various equipment for water sports. We recommend this place and would love to come back!

The cabin was small but well thought out. The environment was incredible! The view and the terrace are a real plus in this accommodation. The sauna and the "shower" room are very well thought out with the water well! This was very convenient and made our showers pleasant compared to other cabins of the same kind. In the morning, you can even pick up fresh eggs from the henhouse, it's great! In short, a great experience! I highly recommend it! The only small problem is the bedding since it is a removable sofa and there is no mattress topper. If you have back problems, it may be complicated. But for the rest, everything was perfect! 🤩

Wonderful country house. Beautiful lake. Close to border, easy to find and very quiet at the same time. There's no water at all. Otherwise, the kitchen allows you to fully cook. It won't be a problem in the summer. So is the toilet. The cottage is a cottage. Sleeping is good, new. Underfloor heating. Sauna without frills. Heats up well. Very nice fireplace and area near it. Cozy. Great budget solution. Nature is wonderful. A. And most importantly! Very good communication. Juha is a hospitable host. Thank you so much!

We did a booking in short notice for one night and it was really worth it. Cottage and all its features were well aligned description. Peaceful place with nice views. Mikko as a host was proactive, flexible and nice in the communication and our special wishes regarding check out. I recommend.

Holidaying like a Finn! The holiday cottage is located in the most unique location on the private island in the middle of a jaw-dropping lake. It's a short ride by boat from the mainland where the car is parked. The log cottage has modern comfort and lots of traditional elements such as fireplace and traditional rugs. The highlight of stay was the wood burning sauna built as a separate hut. We spent long hours between warming up in the sauna and cooling down in the lake. Although, there is no morden shower, we have never been so clean! The sauna has hot water and buckets for washing. We left the island for beautiful hikes in Puumala and Neitvuori mountain. We also went roaring the boat to the nearby resort on mainland which has a restaurant, a spa and equipment rental. We amused ourselves with chopping wood, cooking on fire, picking berries and staring on still and crystal clear waters of the lake and listening to the sounds of forest. It's peaceful, beautiful and rememberable!

Great authentic summer cottage experience! The cottage is very comfortable and the host is very friendly and helpful. The location is great as the surrounding forest grants privacy and quietness. The sandy beaches are great for children learning to swim. The water in the lake is surprisingly clear. The deck and terrace are perfect to enjoy the lake views. One even has some sight to the lake from every window of the cottage. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
