'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. The words 'A day like a gift' are engraved in the merchant room of the mud house. We will try to give everyone who comes here a simple gift called 'a day like a gift'.

Please double-check the address before coming! Address: 7-26, Hwarang-ro 28beon-gil Old, traditional Hanok, so it shows its age. All bedding is always freshly replaced, and as it was my grandfather’s home, it’s lovingly maintained and kept clean. Unlike a typical Hanok village, this home is in a local Gyeongju neighborhood. Stay in a real Hanok and experience the authentic charm of Gyeongju! It will surely be a special experience. I can confidently say it will be special.

# If you look for 2 houses in the same building, please contact me. My house is within 4 min of walking distance from ‘Hongik University station exit no 7. Therefore, you will be able to reach most of places in Seoul very easily and conveniently. AREX(Airport railroad) passes this station as well, so you can directly come to my place from both Incheon and Gimpo International Airport. I would say, it’d be very suitable for travelers in a big group of friends or families!
