Rocinha Favela Tour Rio De Janeiro

Come see and experience the largest and most beautiful Favela in Rio, Rocinha!! I am a local resident of Favela Rocinha, was born here and know pretty much everyone; this is my home and I love this place! I want to introduce you to some of the sights, sounds, smells, and culture of this amazing Favela. I'll accompany you to some breathtaking viewpoints and also take you down the curvy streets to experience a bit of life in Rocinha. Don't worry... Rocinha is very safe and I will guide you down the safest streets and neighborhoods. I'll take you by local shops and markets to experience what life is really like in Rocinha. The price of the tour includes monetary contribution to the local community.

Get to know Rio main attractions

In this experience, we will pick you up from your home* and take you to get to know the most important points of the city. We will begin immediately by visiting Christ the Redeemer (ticket included), to avoid queues and take the best photos; then the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, an artistic area with its exclusive tram and then the Selarón Staircase, one of Rio's most famous sights. From there we will go to the Metropolitan Cathedral, a unique building in downtown Rio. Afterwards, we visited Maracana Stadium from outside. We stop for lunch** * right after. After lunch we go to visit the Parque Lage. Parque Lage is a historic and cultural park located at the base of Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. While it is an independent site with its own history and attractions, Parque Lage is part of the Tijuca National Park, a vast protected area that includes one of the world’s largest urban rainforests. At the end you have two options: we can take you back home or drop you off at Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) (ticket not included), where you can take a cable car up to the top of this magnificent hill. *Pick up and drop off in some areas of Rio's south zone. If you are in another region, such as Leblon and Barra da Tijuca, we will arrange a meeting point. ***Lunch is not included in the price. *** Sugar Loaf Ticket is not included *** Bring some insect repellent

Sunset Sailboat Tour in Rio de Janeiro

The tour starts in the middle of the afternoon at the pier in Urca near Bar urca. We will sail by the Fortress of São João, Fortress Laje, and Fortress Santa Cruz, and close to the Island of Boa Viagem in Niterói. There will be one stop point at Adão e Eva beach or Praia Vermelha, perfect for picture taking, and if you are interested in swimming! Then we will pass by the Museum of Contemporary Art and sail back with the amazing sunset view on the horizon. There are gorgeous views of Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer throughout the ride, as they are central to the scenery of Rio's coast. The tour finishes after the sunset to make the most of this amazing view of the city. Other things to note You must bring your camera, sunscreen, swimsuit, and flip-flops.

Favela Walking Tour

Starting with an exciting **MOTO TAXI** ride up the Favela. From here, we visit the ecological park, an oasis within the Favela. Built mainly from recycled materials with some truly special views of the south zone! Afterwards, we will go throughout the alleys of (25/14) called "Becos," where you will walk the surrounding areas home to a majority of locals. Meet and converse with residents and have the chance to better understand their lifestyle and the Favela. This part is extremely important and humbling as it's something you couldn't do without a guide. The locals here work hard on the beaches and streets. Cleaning the city and recycling. In restaurants as cooks and bartenders. Even drivers and couriers. People who usually visit the Favela just come for views and the clubs at the top. (even with a guide). These clubs have nothing to do with the Favela and its reality. Furthermore, a lot of culture, i.e., Sambas and choreography of funk to a lot of Art and Food are from the communities of Rio! Dont just book randomly, book ethically!

Rocinha Favela Walking Tour With a Local Guide

I am a resident of Rocinha since I was born and a professional tour guide. The tour price includes a financial contribution to the local community. Come and be a part of this chain of goodness. Meet ROCINHA, the largest favela in Latin America! Cultural exchanges are developed on the tour, linking memory and history, leisure, art and culture. We believe that it is necessary to value tourism in favela, to help generate employability and local economic growth. The experience is unique, relaxed, original and professional with the aim of cultural exchange. The walk lasts an average of 3:00 (three hours). At the scheduled time, we will have 15 minutes of maximum tolerance to start the tour; Comfortable clothes, wearing sneakers (except skirt and dress); * Other observations: Bring extra money to: 1-When starting our experience we will take a local transp.ort (mototáxi) to get to the first stop of the community (small cash on hand).
