“Stayed here with my wife, son and daughter-in-law. What a great location with stunning views and within easy reach of some fabulous points of interest. Sadly we didn't see the Northern Lights whilst in Iceland this time but I would imagine it would be magical sitting on the hot tub looking at them - the hot tub was a real plus point. Beds were very comfy - the quilts lovely and warm and the property centrally heated which was very welcome considering we had bitterly cold winds for the majority of our visit. Recommend a visit to the Viking restaurant (20 minutes drive).”
The cabin is situated 20 minutes from Selfoss and only 1 hour drive from Reykjavík. This is a horse breeding farm close to many popular locations Various day tours are possible: e.g. national park Þingvellir, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir, The Secret Lagoon, Friðheimar, Eyjafjallajökull, Seljalandsfoss & Skógarfoss.
“The property is a beautiful wooden cottage in the countryside. It is equipped with all services, with a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of space available. All beautiful and no defects. Absolutely recommended. Look no further in the area!”

“i am living in iceland for three years now and i travelled a lot all over the world. when it comes of hospitality in general the hotels and places to rent are huge expensive and they lack a lot when it comes of the quality. not the cleanness but those cosy things that make the difference between a spartan vacation and a cute cosy one. each time i asked why is this, i was told that in general they count on the beautiful views they have which indeed worth all the money, but still.... There are also exceptions to this rule and Smári house is one of them. Very chic, amazing i mean amazinggg clean, the view through the big windows is priceless. i loved the easy check in, i appreciated the quick responses i got to my messages so definitely this place is in my heart and each time ill have a possibility to go for a little brake from work i will return here.thank you Smári!”
