Holiday rentals with a kayak in St. Clair County

Our primary goal for the weekend was fishing, but our stay at Dockside Cottage made the trip even more special—it's truly a gem in Harrison Township! Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. Wesley and Shana were incredibly responsive and organized, making both the booking and check-out processes seamless. They also graciously accommodated our last-minute request to bring our dog. The guidebook was fantastic, and the park passes for the nearby metropark were a wonderful perk—definitely a must-visit if you haven't been. The cottage itself was spotless, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked with all the amenities we needed, providing a super cozy space. The back patio overlooking the canal was a highlight—a perfect spot to relax while our son enjoyed fishing. The neighbors were amazing too, always friendly and waving hello. Dockside Cottage is spectacular, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

This is a beautiful location convenient to Detroit and the surrounding areas. We loved our stay.

Rebecca was very helpful and responsive. Check in was easy and smooth. The interior of the house was better than the photos. Super complete kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms. There was plenty of anything you needed. Kids had lots of fun. We got to jump in the canal. Water didn’t seem appealing but it was great, clean and no funky smells. Rebecca was always there for help and recommendations. My family loved the place. Felt like home. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for a guys weekend for a couple of days of fishing. It was flawless! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything wee needed for an awesome cook-out including pots/pan/plate, a fish cleaning table, fire pit, and good gas grill. 4 twin beds of varying firmness (1 firm, 1 soft, and 2 medium) worked well for us, and there was plenty of space to hang out both in the house and on the water. The boat launch is only about a mile away, so we launched the night we got there, and with lake access, we left the boat tied up right at the house until we checked out. It's walking distance to a couple of bar/restaurants, so if you don't feel like cooking, you're still good to go. Would definitely stay here again.

My family loved staying here during our fishing trip - it was very spacious and right on the water. The neighborhood is cute & friendly, with several nice restaurants around. The kitchen is well supplied and grocery stores nearby if you like to cook. Local fishing is fantastic, and being on the water is very peaceful! Fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs to play in. Plenty of parking in driveway & easy to find/get in and out. Would stay again!

An older lakeside cottage that’s been updated with some modern touches. The double lot gives you access to the canal right outside the living room and across the street the sunsets over the lake are just incredible. Great fishing, beautiful views, and overall just an easy stay. No AC was a concern but between the windows and the fans we never had a problem.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was not only beautiful and spotless, but also felt so welcoming and cozy—perfect for our girls trip getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the host made sure we had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

We had a great family long weekend. The weather was beautiful for us too. There were fun places to go that were not far. We were also happy to have people close with boats that took us out for a day at a sand bar.

Loved this stay! With the use of kayaks included and the ability to launch right from the house, we spent most of our stay exploring the many little islands and channels in the area which was a great added value and basically made this an inclusive stay all on its own. Jessie was really helpful with a lot of suggested local restaurants and other attractions and we hope to come back to take advantage of her expertise. House was very clean and comfortable with a well-appointed kitchen. One of our favorite Airbnb stays to date!!

This is a fantastic place for a stay in Port Huron. The rooms are spacious, there are 3.5 bathrooms, the kitchen is large and well equipped. The river views are spectacular with three different levels from which to watch. It was very quiet at night and just an all-around great place for a family get-away.

It was a very nice little quiet neighborhood. We will probably be booking this house again next year.
