Family-friendly holiday rentals in St. Joseph County

Very nice, quiet lake location. Everything was provided, a lot of little touches made it less for us to think about. The hosts were always quick to respond. Definitely recommend.

We had a family reunion and had a blast playing pickle ball, pool volleyball (we brought that equipment), lounging, playing cards and games. The space is perfect for a large gathering and close to shopping & South Bend. We had a lovely time!

We camped out while my little sis and dad slept in the cabin. Beautiful, quiet place (minus the distant gunshots both nights...it was a holiday weekend, but woof those folks were definitely having a blast). Our dog loved being able to wander about. Plenty of space for our tent, and to park a couple cars. We had a couple great nights sitting around the fire, and we'll consider coming back in the future when we need a getaway from the city! One note - if you go with a group, you'll have to come up with rules for using the "bathroom" as essentially it's in the same open room as the twin beds and there are no walls, just privacy room dividers that you open and close.

Great place for us to crash for the ND graduation weekend. About 25 minute drive. Beautiful location, wish we could enjoy the outdoors more if we weren’t so busy with grad events.

An excellent home with tons of character and all the right amenities for our gathering. David was a responsive host and flexible with our requests!

This is the third time we've stayed at Lori's place. Our family of 12, coming from Cleveland and Chicago, to spend time on the water and together. The kitchen is nice and big with plenty of cookware for gourmet meals. The 2 mile loop around the lake is quiet and a good route for running. There's lot of space to spread out and enjoy the fresh air.

The house was great! Kids greatly enjoyed the beach and swimming area. Host was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

Joseph had a great place for a lot of people to stay. It was clean and kept well. Would recommend if looking for Diamond lake stay not on water.

Excellent lake getaway! The house has been completely renovated, and is very well done. The kitchen is well stocked, and the picture windows on the back are outstanding offering amazing water views. Beds were very comfortable. Overall this is an easy property to recommend to a family wanting to chill at the lake.

Great place! Very handicap friendly, with a wide open floor plan, large deck, and an accessible bathroom. We would certainly return here. Beautiful and clean lake! Both the check in and check out process were easy and well explained. Cheryl was a great host! Extremely helpful and responsive.

The place was very roomy. Love the living room for the kids to watch tv while the adults could gather in the kitchen and living room downstairs in peace and quiet. Beach was great for swimming. Might want to bring water shoes as there are some rocks.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and accommodated our large group perfectly. Some nice touches included: plenty of towels and linens, nice entertainment center, clear instructions, sandy beach and sandy off the dock for swimming, large yard with fire pit, a long pier to park a pontoon, and AC units in each bedroom.

Our family enjoyed Labor Day Weekend at Aaron's house. It was perfect for our family and came equipped with everything we needed (coffee maker, crock pot, knives, glassware, etc.). We have our own boat so the boat slip was great, we could be out on the water in minutes! Wonderful golf cart community that is friendly and safe for kids and families. We hope to be back again!

This Lakes James retreat is just as promised. It is bright, clean, has everything you need to feel right at home, and the view of the lake is spectacular. Due to the timing of our stay, we weren't able to use the lake front cabin, but it would be perfect for a summer visit. Travis is extremely responsive to questions. We highly recommend this location to others.

This is our 2nd time coming here! Perfect location a winter break, quick little drive for skiing, tubing and tobogganing. Highly recommend eating at Brewsters Food and Spirits and 120 Taphouse.

We had an incredible time staying at this Airbnb in Angola, Indiana. The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming—they even shared their personal number in case we needed anything, which really made us feel at home. We came to Angola for a golf trip, and this spot was perfect. On top of that, we got to enjoy their boat on Lake James, which was an awesome bonus! Cruising the lake after a day on the golf course was the perfect way to unwind. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area—whether you're here for golf, the lake, or just a relaxing getaway. You won't find better hospitality anywhere else!
