Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Jølstravatnet and the majestic mountains that rise around the cabin. The cabin has a private beach for swimming and fishing and is a great base for hikes and activities all year round. If you'd like to experience Lake Jølstra from the water, we also offer boat rentals: Øien 460-1 with a 20 HP Yamaha motor.

The old house at Solnes Farm

Part of duplex on active farm. We are the third generation to run the farm after my husband's grandparents received the farm as a wedding gift. Here you get to stay in the original farmhouse from around 1950. We live in the other part of the house. Cozy place, fully furnished and with everything you need for shorter or longer stays. We have 8 alpacas and many goats on the farm, you can join in the care on demand and if we have the opportunity in a busy everyday life as we are in full employment and have four small children.

Nice trips nearby, including Vallestadfossen which is 500 meters away. Mountain trips are also nearby. Below the cabin it is possible to fish trout (small) in the river. This is free. The nearest town is Førde which is 30 minutes away. Haukedalsvatnet is about 500 m from the cabin, where you can buy a fishing license. Here is a nice place to find peace.

Private apartment with separate entrance in a quiet residential area in Skei, Jølster. Enjoy views of the surrounding mountains while staying within walking distance of shops, restaurants, a lakeside sauna and a heated indoor pool at the local hotel. A great base for exploring fjords, glaciers and mountain scenery in Western Norway. We live in the house ourselves and are happy to share local tips if you would like recommendations. Very easy access by bus. Bus station 5 minutes/350 metres away

The hallway between the living room and the rest of the rooms is only separated by floor to ceiling curtains, meaning that you'll hear sounds from us upstairs while you're in the hallway.
