The drive to the Quinta was interesting and a little harrowing at times! The GPS in my rental car was absolutely necessary in order to find the address. Upon arrival, the front desk person was very friendly. He checked me in promptly and showed me to my room. The view of the river Duoro from the room was incredible! The decor in the room/house was antique and eclectic, which made it fun to explore. My room had two twin beds, and they were quite firm, but not uncomfortable. The house is tucked into the hillside and surrounded by vines, plants, and flowers. The pool did not appear to cleaned for the summer, but the weather was quite cool, so it didn’t matter much to me. There are no restaurants nearby, so you should plan to eat at the Quinta. The dinner I had was a traditional cod and potato dish that was really delicious. The portions were large and I couldn’t eat everything, even though I wanted to! A continental style breakfast was included in the stay.

Check in for this beautiful cottage is at the main winery in an area called reception. From there, the host had us follow him by car through a vineyard to get to the property. It felt like magic. We couldn’t believe that we were staying in such a special place. Days provided beautiful views and a large pool for the kids. Nights were quiet and peaceful. The fridge was fully stocked just like past guest reviews said, and bread was delivered each morning. Incredible.

A real favorite! The location is ideal, in the heart of the Douro valley, close to several vineyards and only 15 minutes from Pinhão. The accommodation offers a breathtaking view, both from the inside and the outside — perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. I recommend it without hesitating!
