There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Because I like old things and want to keep them, I have kept the decorations, shelves, drawers, and other items from the 1940s as they were. It is conveniently located a 2-minute walk from the main street, restaurants, public baths, shopping streets, etc. It is a 3-minute walk to the ropeway that goes up to Sengoji Temple. It is a 15-minute walk from the station. (3 minutes by bus.)It is an old Japanese house, so it is cold in winter. Those who are not good with old things, those who think that a 15-minute walk from the station is difficult (bad location rating). In many cases, I cannot hand over the key. Limited to one group per day, it can accommodate up to 4 guests. Only one dog can stay with you (but it must be kept in a cage in the tatami room). Because it is close to the Shinkansen, there is noise and vibration every time it passes. It may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to sound. (It is quiet because it does not operate from 11:40 pm to 6:20 am) If you are staying with 2 people, you can have separate bedrooms. Or you can combine two single beds to make a double bed. Please let us know what you need. Please be careful as smoking is not allowed.
