Family-friendly holiday rentals in Tamboerskloof

We loved staying here. The weather was a hot mess over our stay and the plunge pool was a dream (it's shaded all day) and there is great AC in the bedroom. The photos don't do the balcony justice – a neat little place to eat dinner each night. The apartment is a laughably short walk from supermarkets, Vida and Prashad's (vegetarian Indian food 10/10), super safe, well-supplied kitchen. Alleyne was very welcoming and kind enough to provide us with milk, bread and fruit on arrival – a nice touch when you're staying for a few days. In a few words: homey and a bit like staying with family (in a good way).

Best Airbnb in sea point. Great location, close to everything you need . Super modern apartment, but also feels like home with beautiful sea view. Birgit is a great host. Will come back in the future

Our children loved the swimming pool and trampoline. The location is good and is a few minutes drive from Lions Head and the cable car station of Table Mountain. The property feels very safe and secure. Cathy is very proactive with her communication and very responsive to messages. I did find having to monitor and top up electricity usage a little inconvenient whilst on holiday, but Cathy was always on hand to assist with this.

We had a wonderful stay and Dale was a great host. The location is incredible and very walkable to beaches, restaurants and shops.

Beautiful home and a great space for a family or small group. Located just down the road from botanical gardens in a gorgeous neighborhood. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our group included a couple of small kids so we appreciated that there were plenty of at-home activities when we were not out and about in Cape Town (pool, hot tub, playground, smart TV, books). Wish we could’ve stayed longer — hope to come again!

This villa is simply amazing. We went with a group of 9 friends in mid December for 8 nights. The housekeeper Julius welcomed us and showed everything when we arrived. He also was there every day (except Saturday) and always available on Whats App. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. We can highly recommend staying in this villa.

The location for the Tree House is simply fab!!! Views of the mountain from the house and quite centrally located to move around near hout bay, and even V&A was not too far! We’d go back in a heartbeat!

This house is in a great location and has a really central city feel. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house has all essentials available and there is a lovely cafe across the road which does good breakfasts as well as other restaurants a few minutes walk away. It is well located in central Cape Town making all tourist attractions easily accessible. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We were very grateful for this as we locked ourselves out and within twenty minutes someone was able to open the house up and let us in again! Can really recommend the house to anyone who wants to get a feel for more central Cape Town.

We had a wonderful stay at Philip's place. The house is very spacious and the location is great. It was easy to communicate with Philip and he was very flexible. We stayed for a bit over a week at the beginning of our South Africa trip, and booked again for our last night as we liked the place so much.

Daleen's cottage is an absolute gem! Loved it!

We have just had a month's stay here and could not have been happier with everything - host, accommodation and location. The accommodation was spacious and extremely comfortable and we really felt at home. Spencer is an amazing host - he is on things straight away and is super friendly. The location was excellent - close to Constantia Village with shops and supermarkets and a short walk/drive to the wine farm Uitsig with its many restaurants which have lovely views and a really pretty rose garden. There is also a river walk a short way down the road from Spencer's house ( right turn past the horses) that is very pretty. We loved our long stay here and can highly recommend it to locals and visitors to Cape Town. Ticks all the boxes

amazing place that allows easy access to most tourist spots in Cape Town whether city, camps bay, muizenberg, Simonstown and boulders. place is beautiful and has such a nice feeling for two families to spread out. Debbie was super responsive, checking in and out was more than accommodating for our needs. Highly recommend to all. Fantastic stay

We loved staying at Adri and Deon's place and left feeling refreshed and rested. The cottage is private, clean, well-equipped and you can access beautiful mountain trails from your front door. Thanks to the location and silence we slept better than we did in years. Lovely as all the amenities and the location is, the best thing about the place are the hosts. Deon and Adri are incredibly gracious, providing freshly ground coffee, muesli, home-baked bread and altogether good vibes. It felt like visiting really cool family who leave you alone to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet. We will most definitely be back.

Colettes place was exactly what we needed to get away from the city's hustle and bustle. It was so peaceful. There were so many toys my daughter could play with and very child friendly which I appreciate. The place was clean and very neat. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

We had a wonderful week at Saul’s cottage in Sea Point. So much thought has been put into all the little like a nutri bullet, coffee machine and air fryer in the kitchen and deck chairs, beach towels, cooler box, games, beach umbrella for the beach, to name a few! The cottage is in easy walking distance to amazing restaurants and grocery stores and also very easy to get to surrounding places of interest like the V and A and Camps Bay. We didn’t have a chance to meet Saul but Bella and Tigger checked in on us regularly and we enjoyed our cuddle sessions with them!

Such a lovely place to stay - you don’t need anything more. Fantastic host as well. Will definitely recommend.

My partner and I stayed here for a few days whilst working remotely. The surrounding area was great for a pre-work walk and coffee, and there was plenty of restaurants and bars for post-work. The house was lovely, very clean and with good facilities. I would definitely stay here again.

We escaped the city for Rose Cottage early on in our holiday, I was in need of the quiet serenity of the suburbs and Anthea’s home met all my needs and expectations. A slice of heaven in leafy floral Bischopscourt - just off from the Botanicsl Gardens. The perfect peaceful home to get away from the hustle and bustle, gorgeous pool area - and we LOVED Jordy the little dog coming to see us on a morning. We felt totally at home. Great place to stay in Cape Town. Clean, safe, can walk right into table mountain trail from back gate. Lovely secluded garden with outdoor seating. Comfy double bed and single bed (not sofa bed). Kitchen even had an air fryer! Colleen left tea/coffee/milk in fridge for us (much appreciated). She was very helpful and recommended good local cafe for breakfast (liquorice and lime - get uber there in a few mins). Promptly let me back in when locked self out (door locks automatically if shuts).

I feel so lucky we found Michelle’s place for our stay in Cape Town. Our visit was ultra luxurious. The panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the cliffs of Table Mountain on the other side was breathtaking. We had a cozy fireplace to keep us warm. Michelle was very communicative and welcoming. We would not hesitate to come back and I’ll recommend this property to all of my friends.

We could not ask for a more cozy stay in Cape Town during Autumn. This is the second time we've stayed here, this time for a month and the morning panoramic view and sunlight filling the house each day were enough but the endlessly supplied wood for a small price kept the house cozy all through May. My daughter commented on how nice the air is and so did a few of my guests. It is just so pure up at the foot of the mountain and we enjoyed all that nature had to offer at our doorstep as the mountain and forrest trails are a few steps off the front door. Every space in the house is just perfect. Loved the fact that the "TV room" was totally separate and almost sound proofed from the rest of house. But the Main attraction for me was the kitchen. I loved cooking in there with my family and having the open space flowing into living areas. Truly inspiring for design and functionality. The housekeeper, Ephrahim was also, so helpful and had a smile on his face whenever I saw him.
