Farmstay holiday rentals in Tanzania

Really a lovely and tranquil place to stay overnight. Adve is very hospitable and offered us dinner. The rooms were very clean and there was hot water. We really enjoyed our stay.

We visited James for 2 nights in March 2020 and we were a big family of 9. James was a very good host. He picked us up from the airport and organized the transport for us to the city centre when we wanted to look around in Arusha. We also organized the safari with his help and we were so happy to get a very good guide and reasonable price. As one of our luggage got lost on our way from Europe to Kilimanjaro then James also helped us to pick it up after it had arrived to Arusha. James showed us around and took us to a very good local restaurant. So James was like a local guide for us. We also enjoyed food at accommodation and the family was very nice to us. James always responded quick. We definitely recommend the place for people who are not looking for anything luxurious but just simple home stay. On top of that you get a really helpful hand for anything you may need on your trip.

10/10 solo traveler experience. Above and beyond is the exact address where the Banana Farm is located. Great, careful drivers made coming and going easy. There is no way you will go hungry when breakfast and dinner are the freshest food possible. I never had such large healthy portions and so lovingly cooked anywhere. More than a dozen things to do, a karibu welcome from every person you pass at this sustainable village, and someplace to sit alone or with other travelers, this destination is a real rest cure. Repeat visitors were there for extended stays and already I have planned for my family to come here. So much to learn and absorb, clean floors and facilities, and hardworking hosts made me feel so at home. It was like I was being treated specially even though every guest was given the utmost hospitality and warmth. Saturday night's movie under the stars was a highlight, as well as the traditional cooking class. I had to leave and return and I'm on my way back tonight!

This place is absolutely perfect! Far away from the city to where you can relax right on the water, but still close enough to do things in Stone Town. Michelle helped to arrange our pickup from the airport, tours, and even our COVID tests to return to our home country. All of staff were very friendly and responsive, especially the chef with dealing with my food allergies. The staff also stocked the refrigerator with soda, beer, and wine, so no need to really stop and grab anything. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want an experience, book the beach bbq with the staff. Everything was absolutely perfect!!

My stay at Lesley's beautiful cottage was nothing short of perfection. Lesley was the ultimate host, even accommodating my very last-minute request for a reservation. Despite only having a few hour's notice, the cottage was perfectly prepared for my arrival. Not a detail was missed, and it felt like home the moment I stepped in the front door. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and clean place to stay while you are in Usa River/Arusha, Lesley's place is the perfect oasis. I only wish I could have stayed longer, but I look forward to returning in the future.

Everything is over expectation. We couldn’t imagine such a paradise in Tanzania, with very good security, good team to assist on everything you need. Pepijn always let you know everything updated in the camp and I have to especially thank to the camp manager, Amina whose took care of me on everything during the stay. I can say I never had such a good experience staying in an Airbnb camp like Dolly farm and river camp with very valuable price. I have no complaints at all. - valuable price - calm place where you can have fresh air in USA river - they invite me to join the walk to their garden and farm which I was so excited. - the breakfast was so full and extremely over standard which I always feel so satisfied. You may also have outdoor breakfast 😉 - they also offer lunch and dinner and those food ingredients are organic from their own farm. - lastly, I have to thank the whole team for the surprise on my birthday. That’s very memorable for my Tanzania trip 😊 I still miss the time

Kalongo Farm is an amazing place for a rewind and peaceful vacation. The place is located on a 25-acre property surrounded by mountains and trees. They produce most of their cooking supplies from eggs, fish, veggies, avocadoes, bananas, and milk. You can walk around the farm and learn their farming practice. I got a chance to chat with the owner Bernie since and told me the story of the farm, very inspiring.

Two Mountains Lodge is nested in the green outskirts of Arusha, approximately 25 mins drive from Arusha city centre. The premise is very well maintained and clean. The staff is warm and professional, always available for their guests. The rooms are spacious, clean with clean linen and towels. As it can get quite hot, the rooms are fitted with a fan, in addition to the big windows overlooking the green scenery. Some rooms provide a lovely view of Mt. Meru. The restaurant provides an adequate variety of meaty and vegetarian dishes. The bar is also quite well stocked. The Swimming pool is clean and WiFi and parking are available. I would definitely go back there!

The house is up on Kilimanjaro and very beautiful. No doubt whoever can spend time here will enjoy it. I think this host has a lot to learn about hosting though. You can tell he is a newbie. But he is very friendly and eager to resolve any problems
