The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious, gourmet free breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner.

A two-story adobe-style building is surrounded by lush greenery, featuring warm lighting that accentuates the architectural details. Windows are framed by trees, and a grassy area leads up to the entrance, creating a welcoming and harmonious outdoor space.

Enjoy 3 acres of peace and quiet just 2 miles from the Kit Carson National forest and 5 minutes from Taos Plaza. This is an historic property close to nature. We aim to provide quiet, calming, and meditative rooms used mainly for sleeping. Please note, there is no on-site staff. There are no indoor common areas, no microwaves, and no TVs in the rooms. The pool area is reserved for Retreat Rentals, but we hope you will enjoy your room, the fire pit, and the grounds.
