KICC Helipad

Why locals recommend it

The Kenyatta International Convention Center is a tubular building, which sticks out in Nairobi’s skyline. On the roof there’s a helipad open to the public and it’s a great spot to bring a bottle of wine because of the incredible city views. As the sun sets, the light reflects off the pond in Uhuru Park and the cars begin to light up. It’s the perfect blend of life and landscape. Don’t forget to bring your ID, as the KICC is a government building, so you’ll need it to get in. There’s also a small entrance fee for foreigners of 400 ke.

The Helipad at the top of the KIDS building is accessible for a few dollars. Its the only place in the city where you get a 360 degree view and it's perfect for getting a sense of the streets layout.
