The top of the mountain can be quite cold so even in good weather you should take a jacket with you. Lots of trails to hike. Sunscreen is always recommended anytime of year here.

Sandia peak is an aerial tramway. It stretches from the northeast edge of the city to the crestline of the Sandia Mountains. It has the world's third longest single span. It's the longest aerial tram in the United States. While you're there you can enjoy dinner and the very nice Sandiago's Grill. Don't forget to make reservations ahead of time.

A must one thing on your bucket list, the awesome experience riding on tramway to the top of Sandia Mountains. It's the world's third longest single span.

Ride the tramway to the top of Sandia Peak for a nice evening at the High Finance Restaurant or take a short walk south along the Crest Trail and visit the 1930's Civilian Conservation Corps Cabin.
