Looking for something other than a chain coffee shop? The Perkolator (how do you not sing Cajmere when you hear the name?!) is the best local coffee shop walking distance. It's a cute space connected to a vinal shop. Kid friendly, they have toys for the little ones.

Joe and Melissa Basilone opened Perkolator in September of 2014. Located at the heart of the Irving Austin Business District, their cafe has connected the community through coffee, tea, food and art. It is not only a café, but it is a a place where neighbors sit down together; where groups make plans to better their community; where friends are made; and where local artists show their work and people come together to see those works of art.
