Our backyard. Lots of space to play in the desert.

Absolutely beautiful year round. Great for hiking, camping, fishing, rafting, picnicking, and scenic drives. Keep a look out for bighorn sheep - it’s not unusual to see them foraging near roads and trails.

Growing up in Cerro this is where we would always gather for family celebrations or to just go hiking and fishing. Beautiful scenery, it's peaceful and serene. Also a great place to run or bike, as there is very little traffic and no dogs to chase you! :)

This recently created National Monument is comprised of rugged, wide-open plains at an average elevation of 7,000 feet, dotted by volcanic cones and cut by steep canyons. The Rio Grande carves an 800-foot-deep gorge through layers of volcanic basalt flows and ash. This National Monument includes a 74-mile stretch of the Rio Grande that is designated as a Wild and Scenic River. Rafting, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, hiking, and biking opportunities abound.
