Both a cultural center and live music venue, La Noche—located in a revamped Barranco mansion—is the place to catch any number of genres from jazz and cumbia to rock. At least two bands play every night Monday through Saturday. La Noche also serves up tapas such as anticuchos (beef heart skewers), fried yucca, and cheese-filled tequeños. As for liquid refreshment, concoct your own infused Chilcano; flavors include chicha (purple-corn juice), chili pepper, and coca leaf. Entry is free on Mondays.
