Probably the most well-known village and historical site of Drôme Provençale. The castle, in Renaissance style, hosted the writer Madame de Sévigné (mother-in-law to the Comte de Grignan) on several occasions. The village itself, flowered with roses, is charming and offers interesting shops and fine restaurants.
There are many lovely little boutiques in Grignan including one making and selling their own pottery, lavender, honey, funky clothes and more. There is also a small grocery store in the village which is open until 7pm.
Charming village located in the Drôme Provençale. You can admire the castle, the collegiate church of Saint-Sauveur, the belfry, the laundry fountain ... - www.ville-grignan.fr
