Tips from locals
Four miles of beach walking and water on three sides, Damon Point is one of the best places to hike and view wildlife on the Pacific Coast. Head east to Protection Island, across a narrow spit that connects the mainland to your destination
Very nice long beach. Dress warm, bit windy. No official signage/parking but plenty of space to park off the road. This is where the snowy owls are when they're in town!
Amazing views and a long beach without cars. Access can be restricted depending on tide. Getting to the point/jetty may require climbing over rocks when tide is up.
