San Pedro Creek opened May, 2018, as the city's second riverwalk. It runs north to south on the west side of downtown San Antonio. One mile long at its opening, the walkway is expanding and new sections are expected to open in 2019. San Pedro Creek abut many of downtown's historic buildings, including the unique Alameda Theater, which is being renovated to be the new home of San Antonio's NPR station, Texas Public Radio.

Only half a mile walk from our property, the first and second segments of the much-anticipated San Pedro Creek Culture Park – a one-of-a-kind urban greenspace – officially debuted to the public on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The world-class linear park is the result of a joint effort by Bexar County, the San Antonio River Authority and the City of San Antonio to transform San Pedro Creek into a restored natural creek habitat and greenspace. Combining purpose with beauty, San Pedro Creek Culture Park weaves public art and architectural design into historic preservation, flood control, water quality and ecosystem restoration.

This is an up and coming area off the Riverwalk. They are restoring San Pedro Creek’s natural environment and creating a world-class linear park—with a purpose that goes well beyond just being beautiful and enjoyable. It combines public art, architectural design, local craft, and historic preservation with engineering, ecosystem restoration, and native landscaping. This is a great area to explore, it is still being built out, what they have so far is worth a stroll. 715 Camaron St
