Place Saint-François takes its name from the Franciscan convent (13th century), abandoned during the Revolution and then demolished. From the convent of the Friars Minor of St. Francis, only a tiny part of the cloister remains today. The recently restored clock tower dominates the lively square that hosts the famous fish market from Tuesday to Sunday around its small dolphin fountain.
