If you like hiking, this is a nice spot to go for a hike. It's on the way to Ensenada, on the free road that passes through La Mision. There's a small entrance fee, and a trail that leads to a small waterfall.
El Salto is a hike through a volcanic canyon located about 50 minutes south. There are camping sites, a well-managed parking area, bathrooms and farm animals. Parking costs a few dollars per person. The natural landscape is pretty, it’s a deep gorge with some pools of water (not recommended for swimming). It gets hot out there, so bring water to drink. This place is only 8 miles from my villas, nice hike, BBQ areas, its an easy 45 minutes hike, also there are classes for rock climbing.
A fairly easy hike through Baja California countryside, that arrives at the top of the waterfall for a great view.
