Tips from locals
Polzeath is a haven for surfers (or at least wannabe surfers!) and beach lovers. There are lifeguards on the beach during the daytime in season,.
It’s a great sandy beach that has life guards with car park on beach and great cafes near beach . Also it’s a little town of great shops. This beach is 40 mins from hut approx.
The walk from Rock to Polzeath - via the beach at low tide and over the dunes at other times - takes 50-60 minutes. The bay is fantastic for surfers and body-boarders and the beach can get crowded in high summer. The Cracking Crab is a great place for lunch - early booking essential.
