Did you know the Treasure Coast got it's name because a fleet of Spanish Ships wrecked right here? You can go see the treasures that were recovered by world famouse treasure finder Mel Fisher at this museum. Artifacts are still being recovered regularly so keep your eyes peeled when you hit the beaches.

Found the Treasure coins from the ship the Atosha Ship wreck. That is the reason the Treasure Coast is located in Ft Pierce. Coins have been found on the beach and in 5 feet of water.

Find out why this area is called the Treasure Coast! Hold a gold bar and buy earrings made out of Spanish pieces of eight!

Step back in time and see some of the real treasures that were lost to the ocean until Mel Fisher retrieved them. This museum is partner to his other museum in Key West, but the Sebastian Museum was the first since this the 1715 horde was recovered off the beach a few miles away, was his first big success in removing treasure, thus the name of the area we enjoy “The Treasure Coast”!
