Holiday rentals with a pool in Trafaria

The pool house was a complete gem of a place. Nested in the most beautiful Portugal hills, our family had the most special and nurturing time. Private and peaceful- the pool was fresh, the room were perfect. Kate and Sebastian were quick to respond for recommendations. I feel lucky to have found this air bnb and have recommended the link already to close friends. Beautiful memories, thanks again!

We loved our stay at Figueiredo’s place. Perfect for us as a couple, with a private pool and deck to relax on in the evening. Quiet location within easy reach of Cascais, via Uber or a short walk, with its great food options. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would highly recommend this place is you are looking for somewhere quiet near Cascais.

We consider this house to be on another level when it comes to the traditional Airbnb. You are essentially living in a private part of a palatial mountainside with amazing views of the forest , coastline and sunsets. The house is an ancient hermitage that is supremely well kept and the owners’ sophistication shines through. The gardens and terraces are absolutely beautiful and a joy to walk around with ponds, fountains and lovely forest pathways. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to make delicious meals. Beds are very comfortable and Mariana, the housekeeper, keeps the house spotless and the grounds are very well kept by the gardener. Cristina who owns the property is the most generous host who greeted us with a delicious homemade quiche and other provisions so we did not have to go shopping upon our arrival which was fantastic after a long journey. When visiting Sinatra, this home is such a privilege and will only enhance your stay!

Wir waren mit Freunden da und das Haus war perfekt dafür geeignet. Der große Essbereich, die vielen Schlafzimmer und der einmalige Pool mit Blick bis zum Meer haben uns überzeugt. Für besondere Anlässe kann man seit neuestem eine Art Wintergarten dazu mieten, der riesig ist und zum Verweilen im Garten einlädt, auch bei niedrigeren Temperaturen. Die Zufahrt mit einem Camper ist etwas eng, sobald es Gegenverkehr gibt. Wir waren zunächst auch etwas verunsichert, weil es ein Durchfahrts-Verboten Schild für Wohnmobilen gibt. António hat uns dann abgeholt und uns alles gezeigt. Er war jederzeit für Fragen erreichbar und wir durften unseren Camper mit Strom und Wasser befüllen.

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit. Das Haus ist genau wie auf den Fotos und bietet alles was man Brauch. Die offene Küche und der kleine Pool mit den Hängematten im Hof waren das absolute Highlight. Wenn ich mir ein kleines Ferienhaus bauen würde, dann würde es genau so aussehen. 🫶🏼 François war ein toller Gastgeber, der uns sogar mit Wein und leckerem Käse begrüßt hat. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.

Het appartement is compleet en erg schoon. Het zwembad is ook schoon. Alleen jammer dat er geen ligstoelen aanwezig zijn. Wel een ligplaats in het gras. Voor een verblijf voor een stadsreis is het zeker een aanrader. Op loopafstand van de wijk Belem en met de tram in 20 minuten in het centrum. Daar zal je beslist niet zo’n mooi appartement vinden. Ik zal het appartement iedereen aanraden.

Great stay! The host kindly allowed early check-in, which was a big help after a long flight with kids. The apartment was spacious, cozy, and well-equipped. We loved being within walking distance of shops and main attractions in Cascais. The road in front can be a bit noisy at night if the windows are open (especially for light sleepers). Note: there’s a €4/day per person tourist tax mentioned in the listing—just something to keep in mind as this can be overlooked. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The apartment is perfect for a visit to Lisbon in the summer. Having access to the pool after the long hilly walks makes it a great place to stay. The apartment was well located to walk for food/drink etc . It is up a hill but so is most of Lisbon. Apartment had everything we needed and Natacha was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay here, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. August and Teresa were fantastic hosts making sure we were okay and gave us recommendations. The pool was a real bonus, especially on warm days and when the beaches were busy. It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, with easy access to both Lisbon and Cascais. Would happily recommend!

This was a great spot for a first visit to both Cascais & Portugal. Everything was walkable, but peaceful. Downtown Cascais (25 min walk) is pretty, but busy even in late May so (boring that I am) I was glad to be farther away. The winner was the green view from the balcony every morning with coffee. The swing chair was a big hit with the teenage kids. The other winner is the ocean side walk nearby...straight to Cascais or minutes to Giua cafes & restaurants which offer some extraordinary outdoor eating venues ($$). Also Cafe Ophelia nearby was sweet. The green space out back & the pool will no doubt work well for younger kids. Maria was a very friendly & engaged host. Tip: Lidl grocery store is an easy 8 min walk & carries a surprising array of good quality, cheap fresh baked breads & sweet pastries.

This is a lovely well equipped 2 bed apartment in the Bairro do Rosario suburb of Cascais. Communication with the host was excellent and the garden and pool area are a real bonus. It is a 15 min walk to de Inferno and a good 35 min walk into the centre of Cascais. However there are bus stops close by to the apartment which have regular timetables. There are a number of lovely restaurants close by at Casa de Guia, and the Ophelia cafe on the next street is lovely for breakfast whilst the sacolinha bakery at the end of the street is excellent. The small supermarket at the end of the street is good for small amounts, the large Pingo Doce 5 mins walk away has a much larger selection. A very relaxing stay

Hemos pasado unos días geniales con amigos y niños en casa de Laura. La casa está en un entorno maravilloso lleno de vegetación, los exteriores son preciosos. La casa es como se ve en las fotos, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días perfectos. Es preciosa y muy espaciosa. Nosotros íbamos con 2 bebés y nos dejaron cuna y trona. Nos permitieron hacer el check out un poco más tarde sin problema. Muy recomendable.

Bernardo and Maria's place was a perfect getaway for ours girls trip. It was peaceful and spacious and we could get into the centre of Lisbon easily with Ubers. The pool was amazing and was a big highlight of our stay! Great sized rooms and bathrooms, lovely patio, really suitable for a group holiday, would highly recommend!

Die Vermieter Teresa und Rui sind ausserordentlich freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, gemütlich und nahe aller Sehenswürdigkeiten. Es war sogar eine Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln vorhanden inklusive Brot, Obst und Pastel de Nata. Wir haben die Zeit und den Luxus sehr genossen und können es nur empfehlen. We had a fabulous time at José's place. He was there with a warm welcome when we arrived, showed us around and explained everything. He was extremely responsive when we sent messages and had questions. Nothing was too much trouble for him to ensure we were happy and had a great time. The house is a quaint little house from the 1930s that has been renovated to bring in modern comforts, but still retaining charming details like the original floor. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for all the cooking and BBQing we did. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had an incredible stay at Susan's property. The former caretakers house was immaculate. Super clean, super comfortable, and included wonderfol amenities. Susan was the perfect hostess and incredibly generous and caring to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the pool, walking through the fruit trees, and using the BBQ. The property is truly special and we are so grateful we had a chance to stay there and experience it.

This place was perfect for what we were looking for. We needed somewhere that could accommodate 9 of us, 6 adults and 3 children under 3. The house itself was beautiful, very tidy and had so much space. The hosts Ana and Nuno had thought of the children and provided us with cots, high chairs, children’s dinnerware, and even things for the children to play with. The swimming pool was gated off as described. The location felt really private and quiet, with beautiful views of the sea. We were able to walk down to the local shops and beach of Praia das Maçãs, so we didn’t need to hire a car. Ana was so friendly and helpful before and during our stay. We had such a lovely time here, and would love to come back one day.

Casa Laranja is a lovely house close to lively Cascais, not far from Lisbon. The accommodations were spacious and well maintained. The host was flexible allowing us to change the number in our party and provided early access to the house. The house is used as both an Airbnb and bed and breakfast. Consequently the kitchen has limited items found in a typical Airbnb such as spices and condiments and charges for laundry. On the other hand there are hotel type robes provided and daily housekeeping. We used the fantastic heated pool every day! Note - if you are allergic to cats the house may not be for you as there are two cats who make themselves at home on the outdoor patio.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen (darunter 2 kleinere Kinder, 2 und 5) und haben uns in dem Haus von Ana&Nuno sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist stilvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man für einen Familienurlaub braucht! Besonders die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet! Das gesamte Haus war blitzsauber und auch der Garten, der Pool und die Terrasse waren in einem tadellosen Zustand. Ana war stets zu erreichen und hat immer rasch geantwortet. Das digitale Gästebuch mit den Empfehlungen und Hinweisen war sehr hilfreich und hat uns so manche langwierige Tagesplanung erspart. Vielen Dank liebe Ana und lieber Nuno für diesen wundervollen Aufenthalt in eurem tollen Haus. Wir kommen definitiv zurück!
