The area is a good location to see northern lights and arctic animals. Here, you can fish in the fjord, which is covered in ice for 6 months of the year, go hiking in the nearby mountains, or drive into Tromsø, which takes about 30 minutes. You can enjoy the peaceful surroundings outside, or relax indoors in the living room while watching the Northern Lights through the large panoramic windows. For international guests, the easiest way to reach the property is by flying to Lakselv or Alta Airport and renting a car. You can park your car conveniently right in front of the entrance, and an EV charger is available for use at the cabin (NOK 100/ day).

Included in your stay there is a woodfired sauna placed by the sea with a fireplace and a cosy indoor chill-zone. We charge NOK 250,- per sac of firewood used to heat these facilities . To prepare and fill the hot tub for you to use during your stay, we charge a fee at NOK 2000,-

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.
