【蔵】　ABOUT&CONCEPT Mt. FUJI HOSTEL SAMURISE KURA -蔵- is located only a few minutes walk away from Kawaguchiko station. As you arrive, you will be welcomed by the Japanese garden, where you can see the beautiful Japanese red maple in autumn time. The small house that was built about 70 years ago was now reborn as Mt. FUJI BASE HOSTEL SAMURISE KURA -蔵-, and has been welcoming guests from all over the world since 2017. We respected and maintained the traditional Japanese style in the process of refurbishment, so you could enjoy and experience the traditional Japanese housing. We offer 4 different types rooms [Ume(梅) Momiji(椛) Sakura(桜) Tsubaki(椿)] depending on the group size (a child counted as 1 person, only aged 6 and up acceptable). We can keep your luggage free of charge before you check-in and after check-out. We also do a bicycle hire, which is very convenient for cycling around Lake Kawaguchi looking over Mt. Fuji and sightseeing the nearby attractions. We look forward to meeting you in Kawaguchiko!

Standard Japanese-Style Room. Best for a family or travel with friends. (Maximum of 5 people) This room has Partial View of Mt.Fuji. Wash-basin is inside the room. This washitsu* has a Japanese low table and zabutons* on tatami* flooring,shoji* screen. You sleep on futons* lay on the tatami and sit directly on the tatami or on zabutons set on the tatami. We are a smoke-free hostel. All rooms are no smoking. Washitsu*: Japanese style room Zabuton*: Japanese cushion tatami*: Thick straw mats that cover the floor Shoji*: sliding paper screen futon*: Traditional Japanese bedding consisting of padded mattresses and pliable quilts.

This is a newly refurbished modern Japanese style hostel in Kawaguchiko. The Japanese Style Tatami Room (room size 10㎡) has 3 sets of Futon mattress and duvet for the maximum of 3 people. It is located about 10 minutes away on foot from Kawaguchiko station. We provide the following amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hairdryer, clothing hangers, Wi-Fi, laundry machines and car park. The members of staff are also here to help you with any tourist information!

SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.
