Enjoy Loch Voil, explore the hills, and watch the wildlife. Soak in the wood-fired hot tub. Small cozy self contained annex in a converted Steading circa 1720, minutes from Killin centre. King bed, bathroom with rain shower. Basic Galley kitchen, mini fridge, hot plates, microwave /oven/grill , kettle, toaster. Connecting these rooms is a small area for sitting/dining. It is not a room on its own but comfortable. The Star Hut at Rannoch Station

Unique, single-room glass-fronted hut in a silver birch/rowan wood on a small hill, full of character with a spectacular view 25 miles to the East. Rannoch Moor is a place of peace and tranquillity, there is no noise (after the 9.05pm train) and no light pollution. Weather permitting, you can watch the stars and sunrise while lying in bed, see deer walking in the wood, experience being cosy in the midst of dramatic weather or listen to the dawn chorus. Argyll Retreat by Lock Eck. Argyll Forest Park.

Open all year. Argyll Retreat is a cosy timber cabin located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers and pets are very welcome and stay at no extra charge. There are many activities in the area for the outdoor enthusiast and Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The lodge is also a great place to relax. Garden Cottage is a former miners' cottage situated in the centre of the village of Tyndrum, within Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and on the West Highland Way (long distance walk from Glasgow to Fort William). There is a gold mine in the Cononish hills, an hours walk from the cottage. Perfect base for exploring Highlands, Munro bagging, cycling or just chilling out. Local amenities - pub, restaurant, cafe, petrol station, well stocked mini market - 2 minutes walk.
