Holiday rentals with a fireplace in União das Freguesias de Aver-o-Mar, Amorim e Terroso

Stayed here for a week with my family, including my brother and his children and my mother and father, and we absolutely loved it! The space was perfect for us to hang out as a family, enjoy the sunshine and play in the pool. We were able to use a high cars to get easily down to the coast and to local supermarkets to pick up provisions but most of the days we just spent relaxing in the house which has lots of space and lots of amenities. There was lots of space for the children to play both inside and outside, lots of places to sit and eat and the pool was excellent. The animals at the bottom of the garden were very entertaining for the children and they managed to name all of them!! I would highly recommend this space. I would happily come again. We also really enjoyed having Duarte come over and cook us a typical regional meal. Thank you for everything Jorgina. Danny, Becci and Eden

We really enjoyed the spectacular views, the amazing terrace and the fun pool. BBQ area was a real plus and all the amenities were adequate for our party of six. Joao was a very friendly and responsive host. The main bedroom was large but the other bedrooms and communal areas were small with limited soundproofing. The location was beautifully private but the noises from the town and river could be loud.

After 5 nights spent in this beautiful place I had a hard time leaving it... I got depressed and cried so much this place is perfect, that's to say! In fact, if I could buy this property, I would do it without hesitation 💫 Honestly, I'm still shocked by this breathtaking view... whether you're in bed, on the terrace, in the hot bath or in the pool, it's just sublime, incredible, bewitching... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place, all I know is that I would like to go back as soon as possible ✨️ PS: remember to buy something to make a fire for the barbecue and the brazier (with marshmallows)

From the moment we made contact, our hosts made us feel truly welcome. Their kindness, thoughtfulness, and warm hospitality turned our first trip to Portugal into a very special experience. The accommodation was exactly as described — a charming, traditional home set on a vast plot of beautiful land. It felt incredibly secure with two gates, and the setting allows you to enjoy complete privacy or connect with the hosts and animals as much as you like. It really does cater to what you need as a family. The house had everything we needed for cooking, and the thoughtful touch of a few essentials in the fridge on arrival was much appreciated. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. Our children especially loved meeting the animals and being shown around the grounds — it was such a unique and memorable part of the holiday for them.

This property was perfect for our three family (6 adults, 3kids) holiday. We had hours of fun in the pool, ate huge family meals around the plentiful, and beautiful, dinning areas and enjoyed the beach which was just a 2 minute walk. This house is in a quiet part, where ammeinties might be seen as too far away. However, for us it was perfect. We would come back at the drop of a hat. Sílvia was so helpful, so friendly and pretty much the perfect host. Thank you.

A lovely and unique stay with your very own waterfall! The host is quick to respond and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay either out exploring or by the pool.

We were a group of 4 adults, a 9 month old baby, a 2 year old, 2 dogs, and the house was perfect for everybody! Great space inside and outside (dogs enjoyed a lot exploring around, very safe), big bedrooms - each one had its own bathroom (they provided a cot for our little one), and a very well equipped kitchen. Isaque and his mom were very responsive, caring and available, made our stay super comfortable, providing some nice little "gifts" and local treats for us to enjoy along the days. We had a lovely and peaceful time. The pool is amazing, it had nice views as well. Not much to do around the area (I'd recommend to take everything you need for the entire stay), just little walks or hiking (you need a car to reach the closest town or the mini market), so if you are looking to spend some days with family, just enjoying nature and away from the every-day-rush, this is your place.

The location was so nice, and it was so convenient to enter with a password. The host's response came quickly, and the view that was slightly visible out the window was so nice.

A beautiful apartment, the photos don't do it justice. Good facilities, Francisco was helpful and responsive. Perfect for our family group. The area is relaxed with a great beach easily walkable and brilliant seafood restaurants just around the corner.

There were three of us sharing the property and it was so nice that I almost wanted to move in permanently! Nice terrace and very tasteful decor in quiet area. It was a short taxi ride from the airport, good proximity to the grocery store and a very nice pastry shop. Great choice if you like to stay a little secluded from the most visited tourist trails and discover different areas. We walked almost everywhere with the exception of some cheap taxi rides. 10/10 residents :)

The apartment was spotlessly clean, with modern and newly furnished interiors. The location was excellent — close to everything, and there was a great supermarket just around the corner. The internet was super fast, which was a big plus. It would have been even better with an elevator, but hey, you’re in the land of hills after all! :) All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Great place to stay and having three complete private bedrooms is highly beneficial when traveling with family. We hope to return for a longer trip in the future to soak in the sun and visit the Douro Valley. Very accessible location.

Felt like living in the middle of Porto. Close to lots of bars and restaurants. Nice apartment and very at home feel. We were there when Portugal won euro finals so very noisy from the bars outside, but thats to be expected! Lovely apartment

The apartment is beautiful, beautiful view, well decorated, clean, with all household utensils, impeccable bed linen, it was well worth staying there.

we had a wonderful stay at Maria’s apartment! the views from the living room and garden were incredible and we were so close to many great restaurants, shops, bars, and tourist attractions. the host was able to accommodate a slightly early check in and we met at the apartment to pick up the keys and be shown around the building. we were also given a map with some recommendations and directions to the event we were in town for. the garden area is shared between all 4 units in the building. i believe the hosts family is two units and the other two are rentals. it was a little rainy during our stay so we only went out to the garden a couple times but it was very pleasant out there and we got to meet the host’s dog! everything in the apartment was great and we felt right at home for our 5 nights in porto. would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

We were invited to a wedding at the Quinta Solar da Levado in Amares, Cidalia's house is quite close (8 min) which is rather appreciable in case of fatigue. The house is very, very large and clean on a double level. A beautiful vegetable/flower garden is a great way to enjoy the good weather. Cidalia is very responsive and gives very clear instructions. As a traveler, just remember to bring cash to pay the municipal tax.

A lovely stay at Marta’s house! Such a beautiful setting and the boys really loved the Pool. A real traditional property with themed rooms from what it used to be such a great touch! Definitely recommend

Fantastic stay at Ricardo's villa! Beautiful pool and villa setup in an incredibly secluded part of the countryside. We went as a group of eight in our late twenties - we didn't have a car so Ricardo organised a taxi for us to get around that was incredibly helpful, including to get down into the village to visit the INCREDIBLE Tasquinha do Tio Miguel! We will be back! Xxx

We love and hope to repeat the stay at Toorgo House in the future! Both Mr. Manuel and his son Pedro were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the process and stay. Always very available to help us both at check-in and check-out, they even sent a list of recommendations for the area! The house is even better live! Super clean and decorated with care and quality. We feel right at home! Mr. Manuel's family was also kind enough to welcome us with a delicious birthday cake, a gesture much appreciated by all (and especially by the birthday girl!). The entire property is very well maintained, including the garden! The area is friendly and easily accessible with amenities nearby! I dare say it was one of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in as a family! We highly recommend it!

It was an outstanding stay! A lot of space, everything what you need is provided. Peace, nature, sparking clear river. Dream house!
