Cabin holiday rentals in Upper Carniola

It was one of the nicest places I have ever been. Boris is a wonderful host and gave us a very warm welcome and some drinks. The wooden house is so beautiful and fully equipped. It’s better than in de description. Highly recommend and I would love to come again.

First things first, Eva is a wonderful, attentive, proactive and friendly host (she gave us one of the best lists of recommendations for walks, hikes, markets etc.). She answered every single one of our questions (and there were many) immediately and gave us the info we needed. For example, we wanted to make a barbecue and we needed a brush to clean the grill - and then Eva's dad ended up getting us a whole new grill so we didn't have to clean (kudos Eva's dad). The backyard is breathtaking, the views, the little nook in front of the jacuzzi for morning coffee and breakfast etc. Kitchen was fully equipped and had an impressive amount of spices and cookware. Everything was top notch clean, really everything. We really loved our stay, would recommend to all of our friends (or gatekeep so we can come back)! p.s. there's a small cute local dog named Luna, she will greet you at some point as well :)

Super nice contact, answers came very quickly and in detail. Very cozy house, looks original better and bigger than in the photos. Everything clean and beautiful clock yet modern. I only heated and cooked with wood, that was awesome. Super great area where you can experience great tours (we in winter with lots of snow). We made beautiful snowshoe tours and everything in the immediate vicinity. Very nice neighbors who are there to help you, where we were also invited to Christmas Eve, such a thing is not self-evident. Thank you for these wonderful quiet beautiful days in the house. The house and walking is highly recommended.

Bojana's house is very nice, new and well finished. The location is incredible, the view of the valley and the mountains take your breath away. The house is spacious, comfortable, very clean and equipped with everything. The wellness space is perfect. The small market inside the house was helpful. We spent 4 days but we wanted to stay longer! We appreciated the silence and immersion in nature, the view, the fireplace, the garden and the impeccable welcome of guests! Absolutely recommended! Suitable for those who love nature and silence. You can get there easily but with a white road.

What a wonderful oasis with style and a sense of the special. The house, the surroundings, the interior design all stylish and very tasteful. We were there as a family of five and the children especially enjoyed the whirlpool. Matjaz welcomed us very nicely and explained everything. Listening to the birdsong in the warm whirlpool in the early morning... there was nothing more beautiful. The lake, which is close to the foot, was great for the children and Ljubljana is also very good to reach in 30 minutes. We would come again and again and can recommend the accommodation with all our hearts. A true paradise in the Slovenian countryside.

The little cottage in the national park was great! We felt very comfortable. The sauna and the wooden barrel on the terrace were significantly larger than we thought, which made us very happy. Tadej is a super warm host and was easy to reach. The location is great, we were able to do a lot.

A great house with a wonderful terrace and a wonderful view. Tom is a very generous host. There is enough of everything and you can use and consume everything freely. Our big dog also felt very comfortable, only the stairs were too narrow and steep for him, but that was not too bad. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would love to come back.

This accommodation is one of the best experiences one could wish for. The surroundings are beautiful, the view is stunning, and the little house feels like a true step back in time. Watching the mountains from the jacuzzi and the sauna is a unique experience. The place itself is small, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. It’s perfectly suitable for two people who love each other. The host surprised us with a wine tasting and a cheese platter, introduced us to Slovenia, the vineyards, the wines, and even let us bottle our own wine from the cellar tanks. During our stay, we could go down to the cellar anytime and taste the wines to our heart’s content. Every moment spent in Matjaz’s house was a recharge for the soul. I recommend it to anyone who wants to escape from the world!

We had a wonderful stay at the Jezersko mountain hut! The surrounding valley is absolutely beautiful, and the area offers amazing hiking opportunities. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back! 😊

We had a wonderful stay, perhaps slightly too brief as only one night, but we definitely made the most of it. Pierpaolo was so friendly & welcoming & helpful & due to his strong connections with Skocjan is a wealth of information about the area with great recommendations of things to do. The caves are literally on your doorstep and were absolutely incredible. The scenery is beautiful and we loved everything about our stay. Thank you Pierpaolo we really hope to return one day.

Absolutely magic place. Silence and peace. Very beautiful around, you can walk for hours. The forest near the house is full of mushrooms. Paradise for those who want to escape from civilization. Wonderful friendly hosts, trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We arrived after midnight after a very long road and Ivanka and her husband waited for us and took us to the house. The house is fairytale, with a wood-burning stove for those who still remember what it is. At the same time, there are all the modern amenities of civilization, Internet, a good shower, a well-equipped kitchen with an induction stove. Ivanka left us a very tasty homemade pie and grapes from her own garden. A week spent in this house was a wonderful vacation for the whole family. Note: this house is not for you if you have problems with steep stairs - two bedrooms are on the second floor, which is reached by a steep stairs. And it is not for you if you are afraid of gravel roads uphill.

For any questions in advance of our vacation, I always got quick and helpful answers from the landlord . The accommodation is as described. We were also able to use the fully equipped kitchen (electrical appliances,dishes,...)for breakfast (the bakery is less than 10 minutes away by bike). Only one should be aware that the upper floor of the house heats up on sunny days due to the beautiful large glass areas (cooling is only possible in the evening hours. The highlight was certainly the "private bathing area" in the back of the garden. The beach, Minimundus,stadium and the center of Klagenfurt (via the Lend Canal)are easily accessible by bike. We could very well imagine vacationing in this beautiful accommodation again !

This place is truly the gem of Slovenia. I don't know which I could praise more, the home or the host. The house and surrounding area has everything you could possibly want and Žan, the host, really did a great job with providing guides and giving tips. The nature is exquisite, the air incredibly clean, the water clear and delicious - you feel healthier the moment you step foot here. There was obviously so much thought put into kitting out this home and Žan was an incredibly caring host that was in constant communication with us, ready to help and get us out of binds. Truly a great person to have when in a new country or region. We all loved every moment we spent here. As other guests mentioned the roads up to the house are not for the faint of heart, so please be careful. The beds were also hard on our backs so something to consider for guests with backpain, but with everything being cared for and regularly updated I'm sure the beds will also get an upgrade soon. Truly a 10/10!
