This was a nice clean place away from town, but walkable to other areas ...about 30-40 minutes . Lots of construction on roadways/walkways to Ponte de Lima when I was there. It was unusual to be communicating in English up to arrival and then encounter a very friendly housekeeper who only spoke Portuguese. Since I don't speak Porteguese, this was challenging, but everything else was comfortable. This is as far north as I went in Portugal, and was good to see the differences up here.

Maison très spacieuse, très jolie, bien située par rapport à Ponte de Lima (5 min en voiture). Chambre de très grand confort, petit déjeuner copieux. On regrette juste l'absence des hôtes, toutefois bien suppléés par Maria, qui ne parle que portugais ce qui est un peu compliqué pour se comprendre par moments.

This was the most beautiful place that I have ever stayed in 4 years of using airbnb. The lodgings were exquisite, and the grounds surrounding the casa were gorgeous: filled with trees, flowers and birds. Overall the atmosphere was very peaceful. Carla's house and garden are beautiful and very clean. The location is nice and rural, so it's good to have a car. We are lucky to had the experience to stay there. Unfortunately we didn't meet Carla, but her housekeeper was very friendly. Thank you very much and best wishes.

Der Norden Portugals ist bei gutem Wetter sicher noch mehr eine Reise wert, mein Abstecher war leider völlig verregnet; nichts desto trotz war der Aufenthalt im Casa de Chandezil sehr erfreulich. Die Wegbeschreibung von Carla war sehr exakt, der Ort ist genau dort, wo er auf der Karte, die sie zugemailt hat, auch zu finden ist, so dass es mit einem GPS kein Problem ist, das Haus zu finden. The Hosts are very nice and flexible (breakfast time is flexible, and we were able to arrange an extra bed at the last minute). The room was in perfect conditions (airbnb pictures are accurate). A good deal, if you are considering a visit to Ponte de Lima or somewhere nearby!

We had a great time in ponte de Lima thanks to Carla's place. Even if we didn't meet Carla we met Maria who helped us and showed us the room. Also she brought us a nice breakfast in the morning. The guesthouse is a little hard to find but it's definitely worth it! I would highly recommend you to stay there if you are looking for a calm and charming place to stay. It's ideal not only for couples but for families too.
