Great place, nice location and area for relaxing and getting away from the noisy city life. Mr Mario was very accommodating and helpful. We had lovely gifts awaiting us in the cabin, such as jams , fruits and a delicious freshly baked home made cake by Mr. Mario's wife. A super host in the truly meaning of the word. Hope to return again.

A very cosy place, with lots of nice personal touches, including fruit, some home made fig liquer, and all sorts of compotes. Mario gave is great hints about how to explore the region. We had some great hikes, though wet because of the weather. The bakery 2 minutes away and grocery store in the village were also very handy. All in all a fantastic experience!

Mario was warm and welcoming despite the weather being uncooperative. Met us at our car and held an umbrella over us for the entire walk to his lovely house. Would recommend this listing. Nice thoughtful touches and the fireplace was wonderful.

I highly recommend Casa De Ribo and Soajo as a perfect starting point for exploring the beautiful National Park Peneda-Geres.
A well thought out cosy cottage which is clean, warm and comfortable. Mario is a 'super-host' and was very welcoming and helpful with everything. We were there in mid-autumn and appreciated the fresh supply of logs each day for the fire. There were also lots of small things that showed great attention to detail and make a holiday memorable (coffee machine ...... homemade…

This small town is such a unique place. We loved seeing all of the town dogs and cats and the cows walking around the local streets with their bells on. The home was nice and cozy and had everything that we needed. It’s such a special experience to be able to stay in such a special place

Very nice, cozy place. There was fresh fruit, marmelade and liquor when we arrived. Mario is very nice and gave us some very good tips to explore near Soajo. Soajo is a beautifull old town with plenty of nature around. Definitely would come back here again.

It is very beautiful little tiny old house, with nice decorations, fruit and self-made delicious liquor. Very friendly host, trying sharing hiking information with us. Only weak point: Not really space to open suitcases. Very delicious dinner in a restaurant Borralho nearby. Hiking trails are mostly with the countryside views, sharing sometimes the solid streets.

I would recommend Casa De Ribo for anyone truly wanting to get away from it all. The cottage itself has been renovated to a high and tasteful standard, with a nice bathroom, large dining table, a small sofa and a comfy chair. It's a clean and calm space. The two bedrooms, although part of the open-plan layout, feel separate, and it was wonderful to wake up (not too early!) to the sound of the church bells, the cockerel crowing and the odd dog making its presence known. The village isn't car-free…

This is a small but very cosy and beautifully decorated little cottage in the heart of Soajo - you will enjoy sitting on the tiny porch and watching the world go by - even wild horses from time to time! Mario is a great host and the cottage is really well equipped and was spotless on our arrival. We count this our favourite spot in northern Portugal - do some hikes, take the drive Mario recommends through the mountains (amazing views!) and just enjoy the peace and serenity.
